  1. Didn't use it for the RM3G but in other matches it has worked fine. Another shooter used his in our squad on two stages without problems. I believe keeping them lubed and having it "broken in" will make them reliable.
  2. Open Rifle- .223 AR-15, TTI lower, Bushmaster M4 16" barrel, DD rail, TTI Eliminator compensator, standard bolt & carrier, 6-position M4 stock, bi-pod, single-point sling, with Leupold 1.5-5 scope. Shotgun- Benelli M1 Super 90, standard stock, iron sights, extend magazine tube, speed loader brackets Pistol- STI Major 9mm open gun, STI trubore barrel & comp, C-more sight
  3. Alvinator: Here's my 3N38 load: 9.4grs, 125gr Zero JHP Bullet, WSR, 1.145" OAL. Start lower and watch for pressure signs, etc. YMMV
  4. Caught their show up in Central Park NYC last summer and it was awsome. Sold out show - standing room only that you couldn't fall down kind - outdoors in the rain. They put on a great show and I would recommend seeing them. Wonder why Bear1142 hasn't chripped in as he is also a big fan. The 930 club is still in business but they moved to another building in town.
  5. Duty Now for the Future
  6. . . . We Are DEVO. One of my all time favorite band is coming to town next weekend(Aug 13-14) and I can not attend. DEVO is the group who wear flowerpot hats and had a hit with the song "Whip it". They're touring for just a few weeks this summer and they're coming to the 930 Nightclub (Washington DC) and probably won't be back anytime soon. I'm bummed
  7. Alan, I know of the company you write about and I agree with you. Good luck with the replacement.
  8. Great film - every office has a Milton Anyone have a case of the Mondays?
  9. Shot on Friday and the range was underwater but Howard, Jeff, Larry and crew did a super job draining the water and making the match happen. Everything ran flawlessly despite the conditions. The chrono stage was still underwater but they manage to have one on drier ground. Outstanding - a big thanks to everyone who was part of the match. Very good stage design and match adminstration makes this one to add to your schedule for next year.
  10. I'll have to agree with the rest - Tactical division makes more sense. Adam & Bill - Reconsider changing the division from Limited to Tactical.
  11. Before the chamber flags were a rules requirement, most of our local 3G and rifle matches required them. The match directors would send out the notice requiring chamber flags and if you didn't have one, the match will provide one for you to keep. Match fees covered the purchase of the flags.
  12. Excellent match, challenging stages, first rate ROs and staff, and a very nice range. Well worth the trip. Kudos to Kyle and crew.
  13. Excellent match although it was very hot and muggy on Sunday and the rain delay help cool things off. Very friendly ROs with very good stage designs. Having food (very good) available at the range was a very helpful. Also, liked the Palm PDA scoring system, very nice. Many thanks to all who worked and helped out with the match, especially Bob, Mike and Jeff. Will be back next year.
  14. "Support Your Right To Arm Bears" Shown with a bear's right arm up
  15. Merlin Orr, Try http://www.phonescoop.com - takes the pain of it.
  16. The conditions on Saturday were sloppy & muddy at best, however, had a great time. Very good stages with the right mixture of near and far targets. Thanks to everyone who helped with match. I'll be there next year. Results posted anywhere yet?
  17. Look at the Blackhawk Pro-Shooters Mat It has a rubber patch area for the elbows and a pouch for a hydration system. Although, it's on the pricey side.
  18. Bear1142, I agree about the 9mm Glock but mine is the G34 and I really like it. I've ammo really when you're in town to try out. Mig
  19. I'm going to use the Beta-C this weekend in a match and so far its been reliable. The plus side is you don't have to do a reload during a stage. The downside is the weight as they are more than the same number of rounds for standard magazines, i.e. 60 rnds in the Beta-C weigh about 3lbs 8oz. while two 30 rnd mags weigh about 2lbs. A VG helps with weight and swing ability.
  20. Zach, Give me a call and I'll talk you through it . . . again. Mig
  21. SC Sectional was a very god match - thanks to all for their hard work. Shooter Grrl - Good to meet you again, eventhough we meet at Nationals before. Bear1142 - Your performance on stage 8 was amazing. Can't wait to have the T-shirts made. Now repeat after me - taffy is delicious.
  22. My AR-10 is in need of iron sights but I having trouble finding anything other than the stock Armalite AR-10 sights. The AR-10 weaver-style gas block isn't on the same plane as the flattop recr. so using AR-15 sights won't work. I would like to get the longest possible sight radius and I'm looking for a clamp-on front sight that will work. Anyone have any recommendation?
  23. Kurt, Excellent write-up and well stated. Bear1142, What's your secret project this time
  24. Also, there will be no MOR event. The MD said it's a long story.
