  1. My main gun, Ruger Mark IV with all Volquartsen upgrades and Vortex Venom sight.
  2. I seem to remember a guy called The Great One, Rob Leatham. He has more National titles than anyone.
  3. Glad to hear that. It's amazing how well it works with the sonic cleaner.
  4. Rimfire does not require a holster. I enjoy using one but never have to draw from it. I keep my gun on me and my spare mags in my bag but my 6 main mags, one for backup, are held in Tandemkross.com holders on my belt.
  5. It's already posted on the ICORE webpage. Ontelaune but I don't know where that is.
  6. Spray your comp with PAM or Dillon Case Lube before you go out and you will have limited amount of fouling.
  7. Keep shooting your revolver and enjoy yourself. You may be the only one but wait until you start beating some of those auto shooters. If you want company, find an ICORE.ORG club near you. They only shoot revolvers.
  8. Put a drop of oil on the bolt before the match. It may improve your daughter's reliability with here Mark IV.
  9. I like your recipe Brian. I'm going to have to try that. I hate trying to eat hard tacos and always order soft when I get them now. My caregiver makes them both ways, hard for my fiancé and soft for me.
  10. YouTube How to clean your compensator. This will give you the Tandemkross Video. I couldn't get my saved link to copy but if you copy and past the first sentence you will get the video.
  11. Wow, my sight picture is the worst. Guess I'll have to work on that as well as confidence that my shots are hits.
  12. I'm starting to call my shots but every so often I wait to hear the hits on the far targets like in Outer Limits. On the 10 inch plates my sight picture is the bottom of the plate, just above the stand. If I see the dot I know I will hit that plate. 5-To-Go is the perfect example for me.
  13. Mine are all aluminum. Just don't leave it in the dip overnight I've heard, after I've done it with no problems.
  14. Do to health issues I had to trim down my shooting and eventually sold all my reloading equipment and centerfire guns. I'm now enjoying .22s and find it costs a lot less to shoot. I was reloading upwards of 800 rounds a week for my 9 mm and my .38 revolver. Now I just order on line so I don't have to pay shipping costs. I see where you are at. Enjoy Rimfire and being out with your friends doing something you like. If it ain't fun, don't do it.
  15. 4 0z. Apple Cyder Vinegar, 4 oz. Hydrogen Peroxide. This solution worked great on my comps.
  16. I have a few boxes of surgical gloves and wear them whenever working with these parts. I also use a rubber tipped tweezers to hold the compensator when taking it in and out of it's container. The Dip is used in a small container with the top on and then placed in the cleaner filled with water. I also wear protective glasses. My safety is more important than getting the parts clean.
  17. After trying a variety of chemical mixtures to clean my compensators, many with bad result and non with acceptable results, I decided to by a Sonic Vibrator today from Harbor Freight and to give that a try. Tandemkross has a great video on what to do, what chemicals to buy and how to clean up after myself. I had used the mixture of Apple Cider Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide in the past but had to leave the comps in overnight and then still having to pick out the lead with my brass dental picks. Today I put my heavily lead deposit compensator in the solution and put in the Sonic for 8 minutes. At the end of that time I rinsed it off in water and Backing soda to neutralize the acid. When I checked the compensator I was surprised at how good it came out. Only eight minutes and no having to take a pick to it, just the right size bottle brush. This I can do every week.
  18. I put a Venom on my Ruger Mark IV this weekend to test it compared to my C-More with 12 minute dot. The Venom sits lower, has auto brightness with 10 settings and is easy to find in the bright sun. and is lower to the bore. My C-More's batteries only last one month before I have to change them. The Venom battery is supposed to last a year and is very easy to remove and replace. At this point, I like the Venom and will be keeping it on my gun for a long time.
  19. Bosshoss's work is fantastic. That works well with moon clip guns and with speed loaders. You never want to cut the star when using speed loaders, you are just asking for getting a cartridge under the star when emptying your gun.
  20. Go to .358 bullets and shoot a modest load of 2.8 - 3.0 grains of N320 and you will amaze yourself. You forcing cone needs to be cut by a professional unless you are familiar with the right tool. I had to buy two cutters from Brownells. The first one wouldn't cut and just wasn't sharp enough to work. The second one did a most excellent job. My groups were well under 2 inches at 25 yards and around 3- 4 at 50. This is testing with an old Weaver scope on a good sand bag rest. My OAL was 1.16.
  21. If you have the 22/45 already and want the Scorpion just order an LLV upper, either they 4.5 or the 6 inch model. You can get them from Brownells for $339.
  22. I have the Allchin comp on my Mark III. I was remiss at cleaning my comp but finally decided to get the lead out. It was easier to pick it out of the Allchin then a number of other comps I've tried. I found that soaking it in MPro-7 overnight helped loosen the carbon and made using a brass pick easier.
