I've seen people shot with everything from .22's to .45's and I would have to agree...don't want get shot, period. This thread is freakin hilarious tho!

Sorry to hear this. It's always tough when something bad happens to someone you know. Figuring out what to say and how to help them is difficult at best and often just impossible. Dealing with the family of murder victim's everyday, I would tell you not to avoid the subject and talk to him about his loss if he so desires. Because of the uncomfortableness many people avoid the issue or the person altogether and that just makes it worse on them.

That's kinda what I was afraid of...might be the better and cheaper option.

Thanks for the suggestions. Only reason I said that about .45 is that my 650 is setup for .40 and I load a lot more of it than 45. No other reason. Corey, yours was somewhat more than the $375 I paid for this as I recall. Its not the loaded, its the base model. Not Mil-spec but blade rear sight, no beavertail, etc. Just trying to get a game plan together for what I am going to do to it.

So I picked up a stainless Springer and despite the fact that its .45 I am thinking about shooting it in SS. It is an older gun but has been shot very little. Suggestions on getting it up to par? So far I am thinking: New grip safety (unsure on what brand) Ambis possibly new fire control parts and a trigger job. sights (suggestions?) I would consider getting the FS checkered but I like griptape as well or better so will prob just stick with that. and a magwell and or grips of some sort (dawson or techwell) What y'all (I grew up in KY, what can I say, we use y'all) think?

I just switched from a WSM2 to a RM... I have used it in practice and 1 match. It fit my aluminum grip Bedell without modification. I like it much better for several reasons: When locked, its LOCKED (can move slightly but the gun isnt coming out unless you unlock it) Even when not locked, it is very secure and unless the gun is moved upward it isn't comin out. When you do draw (correctly) it is smooth as butter. My only complaints are that I don't like the big tension knob (gonna order the smaller one) and that if when you draw you dont come straight up it binds and wont come out until you do come straight up for the first part of the draw, but that is an issue with my draw and not the holster. Overall, a great holster. Smooth, Fast and Secure

I have a 5" Bedell and love it. I have not shot a 6" but figured, what the heck. I like the idea of an extra inch of sight radius in a gun lighter than what I have now. If you are going to be that far out on delivery, he is supposed to have my new gun finished by the end of the year. If he hasn't started building yours by then, I'd be happy to meet you at MRPC and you can shoot the snot outta both to help you decide.
