    Proud Parent

    Congratulations!
  3. Heck, I have a whole setup you can use if you want to give it a try...gun, mags, ammo, holster, belt, pouches, etc. Doesnt have to be at Alabama, can try it at one of our matches if you'd like. Just don't blame me when you end up spending a bunch of $$!
  4. I believe Jake means were the tubes new or older production SVI? Infinity changed thier tubes a while back and the newer dimensioned ones require fitting to be used in an STI grip frame.

  6. Wish this was closer!!! Sounds fun.
  7. No, I simply asked and they took care of me so I would have the jersey for the Alabama sectionals.
  8. Received my new Rudy jersey yesterday, in plenty of time for Alabama match in a couple weeks. Woohoo! Thanks Sue, Joe and Bob
  9. It's true. Matt just built me a new gun and I have never spoken to him on the phone...email and PM's only.

    RO class

Thought I edited my post above to add this but apparently I didn't... Thanks Troy for teaching the class and Jake (and the other guy whose name I don't know but I know its not Coach as he got a little offended Sunday when Troy called him that) for putting it all together.

    RO class

It was a great class. Im looking forward to ROing some matches with OH sectional being my first "major" match. Should be fun.
  14. DAMN! I thought all such boxes were supposed to come to my house first for "inspection"!!!
  15. If you watch the top shooters, TT and Max M. they will get the reload done before the first step upon moving.. it's almost a standing reload because they get this done so fast. Mag button is depressed, weight is shifting in direction of movement, and magazine is inserted prior to the foot touching the ground. In a perfect world, you can get your eyes on the next position and put everything you have into getting to that position instead of fumbling with a magazine. My thoughts? If done correctly and efficiently, a moving reload is VERY close to a standing reload. Max and Travis talk about exactly that in their class. Your reload should be done as you begin to move and be completed by the end of your first step. (Havent quite mastered that yet but working on it)
  16. LOL, Dan I don't even have a production legel gun I was just seeing how long it would take before Chris would post Given how much Dan likes to talk trash I'd be happy to loan you a production setup and watch you kick his a$$ if you'd like!

    Stippled Grips

I picked up a used STI grip about a year ago...anytime I want to try something new, I grab that and use it as a test... I have done: Paint (and decided not to as I cant even do splatter paint and make it look good), stippling (time consuming but not difficult, Alum ox grit (works well) and just this morning I am testing some steel epoxy with texturing I applied to see how that works. My suggestion is just go for it!
  18. It's even prettier in person. And yes he is, great to work with. I must have had 1K questions before and during his building it...he was always helpful and patient. Can't recommend him strongly enough if one wants a top notch custom build.
  19. I agree. If you figure the mags are worth at least $50 each, plus the belt is 45-50, mag holders 25 or so, holster about 130 or more, gun is dirt cheap...assuming you need the mags, etc. Good luck
