  2. What the?!?!? Having out of town company. Ill b at Silvercreek next Sunday though.
  3. At, Corey, et al. I will unfortunately not be there Sunday. Hope you guys have a great match!
  4. The shotgun portion is optional. There will be at least one squad that skips the shotgun stage and even if you are on a squad that does, you certainly don't have to.
  5. Great posts Sean - Thank you! Don't forget the truck keeps things out of sight! Steve What I meant by that statement, if you were going out to eat, get a table were you can keep an eye on your truck through the window. I think you get the idea... Sean, You think like a cop! This is all excellent advice. Colin
  6. As usual, the Hoosiers put on a great match. Thank you to all the staff and everyone else, it was an extremely fun match to shoot. I am just glad I didn't win any more guns or I just may have gotten shot!
  7. At right about the $1K mark and made in the USA last time I checked... http://shootersconnectionstore.com/STI-50-Trojan-45-ACP-Fixed-Sights-Stocked-Item-P1870.aspx
  8. After buying my third set of batteries when the same thing happened to mine, I just remove one of the batteries when I put them into my shooting bag. Now the same set has lasted me all season.
  9. Thanks all for the help.
  10. A great MRPC season! Thanks Dan, Dave, Andy, Chris, and everybody I am leaving out!
  11. So my new rifle should be here tomorrow, which is really gonna suck as I don't have a scope or mount yet. I am looking for scope and mount suggestions. I want to shoot Tac-ops and keep the budget reasonable. Is a Larue mount the best bet? If so which? Burris Tac-30? MTAC? XTR (the top end of my price range) other suggestions?
  12. Many (if not most and nearly all that I have seen) 2011 shooters modify their followers and or slide stops to prevent the slide from being locked back on an empty mag. This does two things: 1 prevent the possible overinsertion of a magazine when reloading to a locked back slide and 2 prevents premature locking back with a round left in the mag. If you have older SVI tubes, you are in a position many would like to be. In an SVi tube, I prefer Bolen springs, followers and basepads. So long as your feed lips are properly set, you can easily get 20-21 in the mags. One major issue with STI tubes and the Bolen innards in that they go deep enough into the tube when loaded to get below the indentations and the follower rolls over creating a big ole rattle. This is not an issue with SVI tubes as they have a different style of indentation which extends lower into the mag body. All of that said, many people prefer Grams internals (followers and springs) as they believe they are easier to setup and more reliable. My .02? Call Mike or Barry at Shooters Connection and they will get you what you need. Oh, and get an EGW gauge while you are at it so you dont go over on length!
  13. Went from 71.% to 79.5 with the update.
  14. Sellersberg, IN. It is fun, great match. See you Sunday...several of us from Cinti area are coming down...might wanna make extra biscuits!
  15. +1 Bob is a great guy. He will be in my prayers.
  16. I would think Dan should be all about making the shooters happy and this endeavor is all about that so he should definitely have lots of $$$ in the budget..HOOTERS HERE WE COME!!!!
  17. I have decided to "take one for the team" I will be at Hooters as often as possible over the next few months trying to convince the girls to come pick up brass. I figure if everyone shooting (that would like to see the Hooters girls picking up brass) would send me about $10 each then I won't go broke while putting in all this work just for you guys.
  18. When you say help you build, do you mean YOU are going to do the work or have someone build it? What I would do...contact Shay at AKAI Customs and he will take care of you! If you are going to build it yourself...Schuemann barrel, EGW innards, SVI safeties, etc
  19. If you want the girls typically rounded up by vice, we need to talk! They are SCARY!!!!!
  20. And another vote for the Speedcross. I both shoot and trail run in mine. They are super light and have outstanding traction on every shooting surface I have encountered. Best shooting shoe I have found and I have tried a BUNCH!
