Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I really don't want to spend the money on a new holster until I am faster than the holster I have . Am I allowed to use a thigh tie-down on the holster
  2. It's a Pro-Series Speed Rig Holster made for the TRR8 and others of that size. I ordered it directly from Blade-Tech and informed them it was for the TRR8. Are there belts that would work better ?
  3. I'm trying to get my TRR8 to work with my blade-tech holster . I can never seem to get it solid. It keeps pulling up . I have it set tight enough that I can jump and meet the UDPSA criteria .Any Suggestions would be very much appreciated ..
  4. i see what I think is light and then it goes black again. I received an email from Wideners at 02:30 that ammo I was looking for was back in stock. When I clicked on the link at 06:30 they were out of stock. People are waiting at the door at Walmart with friends to buy the Federal 525 and 550 bulk backs for $25 and selling them for $60 to $80 at gun shows. I got lucky and had just ordered components before the storm. I've just given up on competing at these prices and with the cannibalistic attitude, I'm happy to sit on the sidelines and enjoy random shooting, plinking and hunting. Normally the manufactures would have stepped up and started producing more, growing to fill the demand. In this environment business are just too worried to hire more , grow more build more. s, gougers and the unknown. Who know what is going to happen over the next 3 years?
  5. I have posted this on several web sites. Someone suggested this site. Duh .. Why didn't I think of that .. I am trying to use Trail Boss with my Brand new Dillon Square Deal B press in 38 special. I have been reloading for about 35 years but 100% of my other reloading has either been on a C press or a Lee turret press. The bench I am using is very solid, very heavy and bolted to the wall. The press runs flawlessly. The only problem is trying to get the press to feed 3.2 grains of Trail Boss. It does well for 6 to 15 rounds and then gives me a .5 to 1.5 grain load. Due to that I have never trusted it to just use as a progressive press. I am measuring every load. I told myself if I can get it to run 25 rounds straight I'd trust it. Has anyone got Trail Boss to run through their Square Deal B? If so what did you do? I really don't want to stick a bullet in my TRR8 or pull the trigger afterwards I really like the safety of the higher volume of the Trail Boss but too little could be as bad as too much.. Thanks K
  6. I chamfered the extractor, removed the bump around the firing pin hole, removed the burrs, stoned and polished the area of the frame behind the cylinder and took .001 off the the crane and it runs fine now. I ran 250 rounds through it.
  7. S&W says to send it back to them and I should get it back in a couple of weeks. I'm waiting on their RMA. $700 22LR revolver should not have these types of systemic problems. Checking the web I see it is fairly widespread.
  8. Mine is binding on the case heads once they have been struck by the firing pin. Before that I can cycle the fully loaded cylinder around over and over without any binding. I should send it back to S&W .. but I'd rather fix it myself and start shooting the thing. I have 3 friends with 10 shot 617's and they all run fine. Their's are all older models. Mine's the only dash 6. I need to get one of their's and mic it up. BTW yes it is a very tight gun with almost no end shake.
  9. Trouble is this happened with a brand new gun. Fully cleaned and with the first cylinder of ammo. It's looking more and more like I am going to have to counter-bore the heads a little deeper or move the cylinder forward .003 to .005. I want to shoot this in steel challenge I need to get this fixed.
  10. I have a brand new S&W 617 10 shot that is jamming once I start shooting it. I have checked on the web and see this is a common problem with some of the 617's . How are you fixing the problem. It's obviously a clearance issue that starts once the rims have been struck by the firing pin. I have removed the burrs and stoned down the .004 high area around the firing pin. I also noticed the cylinders were chamfered but the extractor was not so I added a .010 radius to the extractor. Before I head to the range is there anything else you would do? I am a tool and die maker with a small shop I can do almost anything.
  11. http://steelchallenge.com/ Thanks .. looked earlier and they were not up ... Thanks K
  12. Is there a spot that will have the result from Piru CA. ?? Thanks .. K
  13. Xfactor .. thanks for the review. I was just checking back to see what you thought .. I have already bought the Pro-Ears. Well I haven't tried the MSA Sordins but after using my Pro-ears I know I would have not paid the extra for them. There is no way these are worth the premium you pay for them. They are 3.5 times the price of the Radians. You aren't kidding they are big. I hit them with my hands when putting them up practicing for steel challenge. I haven't tried them indoors yet. They are nice but not $300 nice.
  14. yeah something's not right. My member number shows up in the results but if I look at the clubs uploads of the classifiers i do not show up .. Hmmm I sent an email off... thanks for the help in digging around .. K
