  1. There's some good people here in Michigan Have you gone to any of the gun clubs?
  2. This is the fob I have for my MINI. I don't mind something with keyless entry, but I have to stick the whole thing into the ignition.
  3. Got some snow accumulation over night (the first of the year)....watching the news before leaving for work & cars are all over the roads & ditches. And its only a few inches of snow!!
  4. I've been to Texas...I'd rather take the cold & snow for a while, than the extreme heat. I really don't like death heat.
  5. Very light dusting on this side of Michigan. Not looking forward to a real snowfall when people are all over the road, forgetting how to drive in it!
  6. I'm a lefty shooting open. Racker is on the right side of the gun. I also use a 90 degree mount.
  7. My home club when I lived there was in Barrie Ontario (about 45 mins north of Toronto). They have monthly matches indoors in the winter. Nice bunch of people. Here's a schedule of matches in Ontario : http://www.ipsc-ont.org/machinfo.htm You can google to see where they're located, but most of them are within an hour's driving distance from T.O. PM me if you want some names of people to ask for if you want.
  8. I'm thankful for having the priviledge to spend my first full year in the U.S & having an amazing man to share my life with. To make that relationship solid by sealing it with marriage in February. Finally being a home owner. And most of all, having GREAT family & friends to always have my back through thick & thin (even though some of them are further than others). 1 more...having the freedom to be thankful for many things....
  9. I love my Nikon D90. Getting nice lenses, make sweet pictures too
  10. The least we can do is say "Thank You" to Veterans of ALL NATIONS who gave us the freedom we sometimes take for granted. THANK YOU!! In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
  11. Yes. Two things a husband should never try to do is teach their wife to shoot or drive a manual shift transmission. The "peer pressure" is just too high. Dispense with her expectations of trying to please/measure up to you and let her hang with some of the locals you know won't be too abusive. Step away and enjoy the results. LOL! Been there, done that....with minimal screaming on his part My advice to the OP: If you do shoot with her, don't be over-bearing. Let her do her own thing. When I shoot with my husband, I always figure out how I want to shoot the stage on my own & if I have questions, or I want his opinion, I'll ask. You guys will have fun......always nice to see couples on the range together!
  12. The brush I use on my clients at work is a slicker brush like the one pictured in this post. It's great at removing dead hair & undercoat (which your dogs will have a lot of!). It also has a rubber handle, which is nice. I've been grooming for about 10 years & I'm on my second one of its kind, so it lasts. Looks like Amazon has it: http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Coat-Slicker-Brush-Large/dp/B000QFQFTY The Furminator is a good tool, but its not a brush. I would use it after giving the dog a good brush out, getting out most of the bulk & any tangles or matting. I get my tools/equipment for work from: petedge.com Unfortunately petedge doesn't carry the brush (I got it in Canada...but Amazon has it). Hope that helps! Slicker:
  13. ANY stage where I have to run straight up-range. LOVE IT! From my memory, I can only remember shooting stages like this a handful of times, as it's not something stage designers often create. Awesome
  14. Right next to the word "smart".
  15. I hate it when a client is 30 mins late for their dog's appointment & when you call to see wth is going on, they answer: "Uhhh, I'll have to check with my wife". Man up & drive your arse over. Btw, they never showed, which is also what I hate....
  16. LOL. Thanks One day when I was crossing the border back into the US from Canada, the customs officer asked how US Immigration issued me a greencard with that Maple Leaf on my car's roof! At least he had a sense of humour!
  17. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Have a great day!!
