  1. I took the data from this site http://www.ballistics101.com/9mm.php and made this chart to show PF for many major brands of factory 9mm. 9mm Factory Ammo Power Factors.pdf
  2. I like to see what loads people are using but then I cross check the data I find on the web with a reliable source like Hodgdon's reloading data online or a good, current, reloading manual.
  3. The Arkansas Sec. of State business search show them as "not current".
  4. I learned that the hard way one year at 3-Gun nationals in Vegas. It's amazing how much silty dust can fit inside a shotgun and how little of that same dust it takes to turn a semi-auto into a manually operated shotgun!
  5. I had a Sig 320 RX and it came w/ BUIS. I'm not sure what the POI for the irons was but it was not anywhere near what the dot was regulated to hit.
  6. If you wanna get fancy and finish up nice when you're done with the Dremel
  7. I can see winter from my back yard but otherwise I don't know what you people are complaining about. Snow is something you see up on a mountain peak while you're outside, in your shorts and t-shirt, tending to the grill.
  8. The stages, for those who haven't seen them, https://www.idpa.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2020-IDPA-Postal-Match-revised-stage-descriptions-5.pdf
  9. I have two Vortex red dots (Sparc and Strikefire) and they've been back to the factory 3 times between them. Vortex has been great about it and even upgraded me to Gen2 on one of them for free but it still kinda stinks that I had to deal with it. That being said neither of them has broken since the last trip back and I still use them.
  10. If you ever shoot this thing it looks like Buffalo Arms still has all the 43 Spanish related supplies https://www.buffaloarms.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=11.15x58R&category=All
  11. It begs the question; how many freakin' parts were in there to start with?
  12. Just advertise the match as a "Pig Roast", people will come. Heck if you actually HAVE a pig roast they might even come back!
  13. RangerTrace always has the awesome blasters.
  14. 100 here isn't really a problem. 110+, well that's a different story but you learn to cope.
  15. The problem is that since the state regs change sometimes you have to change too regardless of what USPSA rules state.. To me it seems like a misguided effort to try to comply with the rules of restrictive states.
  16. I know that was last Saturday but its almost 100 degrees warmer than that here in Mesa AZ today.
  17. I won one and installed it without telling my wife. I heard her head in there later and pretty soon I heard "OOOH"! Needless to say the Hogue heated toilet seat was a big hit.
  18. I just want to repost my original post from this thread to reinforce the idea that this post is where you make cracks like "IDPA is a game". The intent is to say that stuff here and keep it off the rest of the threads in this forum. If you agree/disagree that is totally fine, this thread exists for just that reason. So keep it up, game/training/whatever, this is the thread to talk about it.
  19. I think this varies quite a bit from shooter to shooter. I shoot revolver and when the division opened up to allow 8 shot guns there were guys that shot 6 shooters who said they loved the challenge of breaking down the stage and planning their reloads to make 6 shots work. There were others, myself included, that wanted to shoot more and reload less (basically). I don't think one point of view is necessarily better but I wouldn't call one group the "real" revolver shooters either. To bring it back around to production I've got a Shadow 2, an awesome production gun, but whenever I can I put the 23 round mags in and shoot limited minor with it. Different strokes.
