Dad
What factory/off the shelf 9mm ammunitions meets or exceeds the minimum PF. Have been shooting Rem UMC 115gr FMJ becuase it was inexspensive. Thanks
scottlep
It is always best to chrono any ammo through YOUR gun. Every barrel is different and just because certain ammo makes PF in one person's gun doesn't mean it will in yours. If you don't have a chrono I am sure someone you shoot with with let you use theirs.

Hi-Power Jack
I chrono'd the Rem green box 115 gr out of my BHP, and always get very close to 125 PF. But, that's MY gun - as everyone else mentioned, you should Chrono your load thru Your Gun. If you're shooting local matches, it doesn't matter too much, as long as you're knocking down the steel. If you're going to larger matches, you should invest $70-90 in a chrono - it will be a small part of your match expenses.
Nimitz
not chronoing your ammo the week you plan to attend a major is a REALLY bad idea .... ask me how I know ....

JakeMartens
Gun is XDm 3.8 you are going to have a hard time making power factor out of a short barrel with factory 115gr. would probably need 124 Winchester or s&b Nato spec to make it
Aircooled6racer
Hello: You may try some Blazer aluminum cased ammo. You should still chrono before you go. Thanks, Eric
bigdawgbeav
Freedom Munitions has their specs on the website. Their 115 is 132 and the 124's are 138... but like the other posts: CHRONO!

Thanks Rem UMC 115 is well known as pretty low Power Factor. Any other brand of factory 115 or 124 or 147 I have chronoed has been fine. For example WWB 115 gr comes in about 136-137 PF in my MP9. fergus556
Always crono your ammo out of your gun before a major match. I shoot Blazer brass 115gr and average 130pf out of my Glock 34. In my opinion the shorter barrel pistols are the ones with issues, but always check out of your gun.
bret
Freedom Munitions has their specs on the website. Their 115 is 132 and the 124's are 138... but like the other posts: CHRONO! Dad
We ended up getting some sellour & Bellot 115gr that chrono'd 1190 PF I think was 138 Son said he really could not tell the difference
echotango
Federal 115's were 131pf from a 4.15 brl.
PatriotMRD
A 3.8" barrel is going to be tough to make PF. With Freedom Munitions 147gr 9mm I had 130.9 with my 5" STI Edge. Factory specs claim upper 130s. Every gun (even the same model) can be different. Chronoing YOUR gun and ammo is the only way to know.
