It looks like Schuemann Z has been acquired according to their website and not producing barrels in the meantime. You can try to contact KKM as they produced hybrid barrels for a little bit. The other choice is SV. I'm not sure the cut is exactly the same on these as the Apeiro.

Call Cheely or send them an email. He may be able to tell you when he is going to make more.

I just took some nail polish from the wife. I used a toothpick to dip into the nail polish. You'll have to play around with how much nail polish you put on the toothpick but it does not take much. I would have a rag to wipe off the nail polish if there was any overflow or if I was not happy with the result.

Do you know what grip you have on the Titan? If you have a Cheely grip, the Cheely magwell should be a drop in. If you have a PT grip, the Limcat magwell can fit if you want to remove some material off the magwell or the grip. I have the PT grip with the Limcat magwell combo. I'm not sure if a Limcat magwell will fit the Cheely grip or a Cheely magwell will fit the PT grip. How the magwell locks to the grip seems quite different on the Cheely grip. Of course, there is also the Atlas grip but I have not played with one before so not sure what the cut is. BSPS has the Limcat aluminum magwell in stock but I would advise checking what type of grip you have first.

Would the Infinity Tall Boy Slide Racker work in that dovetail? Infinity provides the measurement on their website. The original slide racker looks to be an Infinity. The Infinity Tall Boy Slider Racker is also cheaper than the Atlas Ape Hanger.

Best bet is to ask Atlas. The Erebus should be a 4.6 threaded OAL barrel. I never played with an Artemis. The website specs for the Artemis says it's a 4.6 in barrel like the Erebus but does not specify if that is an OAL but it does seem reasonable.

I'm not sure about performance but lots of custom 1911 shops build 5" open guns so I suspect the performance will be fine. You will probably have to do some tuning to work with your ammo and make it perform for you. They will need to do some blending between the comp and the slide. Depending on the comp you select, it probably isn't going to look much different that the current Chaos 2 but with the slide going to a full 5" and the comp extending from that. As for the barrels, I see them in stock at Cheely and it seems KKM is taking orders again for 1911 barrels. It is just a regular 5" Government 9mm Threaded Barrel that has 5.4" OAL. I would imagine the Artemis with a second barrel fit with either a single port comp like the Erebus or a multi port comp like the Chaos depending on what you like. I would really think about what you want to shoot as the Chaos generally does not function well with minor PF ammo for Steel Challenge. I get a lot of unburnt powder thrown back at me when I shoot minor and it hasn't been 100% reliable so I just shoot my major PF ammo for Steel Challenge. I suspect there is going to be a lot of custom work necessary to do this and I feel at this point, Atlas just wants to churn out guns and not do any one off custom work. If you want a custom, you are better off going to a place like Venom where Don will work with you on the design.

I would try testing the magazines with the slide off the frame but with the slide stop inserted into the frame. I would load two rounds in the magazine and insert it into the frame to see if you can lift the slide stop when inserting the magazine. I would repeat this with a different number of rounds to help identify a pattern. This will help determine if your rounds are prematurely lifting the slide stop and hence locking your slide back.

Not exactly the answer to your question but I dug up a spare beavertail that I had in the parts bin and it fits in the Cheely metal grip. I suspect a standard beavertail fits in the Evo grip as well. I may have a loose Evo grip on a new build that I’m working on that I need to dig up. I may be able to confirm that.

I'm not sure if I've seen one with the formal dimensions for each mag. The closest I've seen to actual specs are from the Atlas Gunworks videos but I'm not sure they are official. I'm sure STI had a range that was acceptable but Atlas seems to share the stats that best work for them. There's a bunch of videos from them but I'll link two that may help you. As for the Dawson guide, they are pretty useful. I think the tool to bend the feed lips back out can be gotten elsewhere but the block to support the magazine when you are hammering is unique. You may be able to buy one used as I've seen quite a few listed in the for sale section in the past.

I purchased an Accu Shadow 1 from CZC. The trigger was better than a stock Shadow but not awesome like my 2011 triggers. I like to tinker and it was easy enough to get the parts from CGW to upgrade the trigger. After playing with different parts, I have the trigger dialed in. It is no CGW trigger job which has one of the best that I've played with. If you are adventurous, you can following Kneelingatlas' guide on how to upgrade the trigger yourself. It is not hard and many of the items are useful upgrades. If not, you can always elect to send it to CGW.

Definitely agree with the pacing. This happens even on other non-open guns as well. I've learned to bring another gun during solo practice. You can pace yourself by shooting a backup gun in the same division, different gun in a different division, mixing in dry fire or bring a practice buddy.

The 126 wouldn't work with the Limcat magwell without taking material off the bottom of the Limcat magwell (assuming it is the steel insert). I'm not sure if you want to do that though. The stock 126 basepads are thicker than the Dawson EZ Off +0 basepads so you would have to take off more for the stock basepads. Both work with the Dawson ICE though with plenty of room to spare. I have two Atlas magwells (can't remember the model) but they do not fit my plastic grips without modification or my PT grips so I cannot tell you if these work. They sent it to me without fitting as I had opted for the Limcat magwell. I had to dig out some old equipment but here are some pictures. The Dawson EZ Off +0 bp is the +300 length. The +200 is about flush with the magwell and the +100 is sunken in. It also works with some stock STI magwell as well as pictured.

I know the Dawson ICE magwell works with the 126 mags. To seat it well, you would need thicker basepads though. I have not tried any other magwells with the 126s. The Limcat definitely requires longer 140s.

It looks like your slide is slightly more forward at the end when you take the slide stop out allowing the thumb safety to fully engage without bumping the notch in the slide. Check if the barrel feet are obstructing the slide stop pin from going in at that point. You may just have a tight fit and the slide isn't all the way forward as it looks to be really close.

I do recall that CZs like the .356 diameter bullets. Some folks had issues and went even larger. Plunk testing one of the .355 or .356 should tell you if you barrel has a preference. I've had good luck with the .356 but each barrel will be different. You just need to see what your barrels like. You can of course go aftermarket to see if you can get something closer to .355. If you've tried this and still are not happy, you can always try the bushing. For your practice gun, I suspect the safety nub may be worn out allowing you to drop the hammer with the safety engaged. Take the slide off and visually check the action. Just hold the hammer back so it doesn't slam into the frame with the slide off when you do this. Fitting a new safety is pretty straightforward. Also, this sounds like this is on double action. Does it allow the hammer to fall in single action (hammer back/safety on)? I've seen quite a few CZs do this and it is usually the safety that was not done properly but it does prevents the trigger from falling in single action. If the safety is done properly, you should not be able to engage the safety in double action.

I would also say avoid the decocker as you'll want to start messing with the trigger pull. Trying to reassemble the decocker to upgrade the tiny springs is so frustrating. Once you are done, you'll probably never need to do it again and a slave pin can help you hold it all together if you need to do maintenance on the rest of the gun.

The cost of the Erebus and Artemis are right around what I paid for my Chaos a few years back so it would be expected that the new Chaos would be higher in price. In terms of price and the way inflation is going, $8k in a year may be the same as $6.5k in 2019. Right now, it is outside of my price range and the v2 isn't going to make me shoot better. Are Infinity hand fit or is Atlas aspiring to be like Infinity? I know Atlas seems more transparent with the way they build. There are still some hand fit process as the barrels on my guns are not interchangeable. I accidentally swapped barrels/slide and could not put it back together. The machines do most of the work but not all of it.

How light is your trigger? As you get into super light trigger pulls, you give up that crisp reset.

It sounds like you have aftermarket parts. Did you happen to install a short reach trigger kit or are your mods just springs at this point?

Try seeing if the 2mm pin punch will go thru without issue all the way on it’s own. If not, get a 2mm drill bit to make sure the space is clear for the punch to go all the way thru.

You should order a 2mm roll pin punch. The roll pin is metric.

If it spins freely and the brass doesn't stick out pass the barrel hood during the plunk test, the loaded rounds should work with the barrel. If the brass sticks pass the hood or the round doesn't spin freely, you may need to load shorter or ream the barrel. I would load a few dummies (bullets, no primer or powder) and check if any of the mags will load. You can use some calipers to check the width of the feed lips.
