zhunter
Started in 1988, Single stack was all there was, Colt Gold Cup, stock as it came from the factory, .45 ACP 5.7 231, 200 Lead SWC, Smoky but effective! Man those were the days! Three stages at a local match and they actually paid you if you won your class! ............................ But then, I was turned to the DARK SIDE , first a Wilson LE comp I added to my .45, then the must have .38 Stupid with 10 round mags, P-9's . Caspian Hi- caps, STI's Complete madness set in I'd like to join, but I'm afraid I too far gone! Well, I gotta go get some batteries........................... 9 X21 Despite your transgressions, I see hope for you. I think posting the other side of those nice 1911's might do it
zhunter
BUT...YOU presently shoot OPEN!!!!! That's not really true. I shoot Single Stack, Limited and Open...I shoot at different clubs. This year I'm planning on shooting Open at one and SS at another with a little Limited mixed in (to get ready for Nat's if I can swing a slot). Heck I've shot more Single Stack matches this year including an overall win! http://uspsa2.org/match_results/match_disp...05&club=RGP Place Name USPSA Class Division PF Lady For Age Points Mtch% 1 BARTOLO, CHRIS TY23298 A Sngle Stck Major N N 380.9584 100.00% 2 C.M. Bwana Six-Gun
I have watched and read this thread through nine pages, and all I can conclude from this is that there are snobs, but no true eliteists here. If there were truly any elite shooters here, they would be using a revolver, like the true elite do. Fortunately, the true elite, are not snobs and therefore do not need to exclude those who have wandered from the way of the true. Z, if you and Merlin wish to truly become elite, then you must compete with that which was intended when repeating handguns were first developed. Come to Jackson, MS in May and we will see if you are truly elite, or just a snob.
Merlin Orr
A nice erudition of a flawed premise..... Retro, while being cool (I suppose) does not, in itself, make one elite.
6-shot
Gentlemen,(and I use that term loosely) please consider my application to your elitest snob club, although I have not shot SS in a match within the proper time frame , I would hope that my small collection would get me some slack. Whoops guess the revolver didn't like being left out. Scott p.s What Bwana six gun said.

Dan Sierpina
I am hereby submitting application to this group. Included are the required 2 photos of my Colt Government Mk4 Series 70, circa 1981. Also, since Z Hunter questioned my integrity concerning the authenticity of my USPSA membership number. A photo of my current membership card is submitted. The pistol has a BoMar rear sight, a Colt Gold Cup front sight (silver soldered) Safari Arms beavertail grip safety, MGW Commander style hammer, Wilson thumb safety, 20 LPI checkered front strap, mainspring housing, and front of the trigger guard. Other portions of the frame and beavertail are stippled for enhanced grip. A Kart barrel is fitted for accuracy. The mag wel is a prototype of the Well Widget mag well, which was sold by Brownell's for several years. Grips are Hogue, rosewood.
