You need to put a warning on that link. I laughed so hard I woke my wife up in the next room!!

Oh My, that is an absolute scream :surprise: ...after watching that ...it put me in the mood to watch Pirates of the Carribean

I would rather watch almost naked Spartans in speedos than Johnny Depp in any circumstance... BIG PUKE....

If this is the gayest movie you've ever seen you obviously haven't seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Sorry, he was actually "just a sweet transvestite from transexual TransylvaniaaaaAAAaaaAaaa....."

edited because its been 20 years since I went to a midnight show so I don't remember all the words.

About the only way it could feel any stranger is if we consolidate the Transexual/Airsoft posts where the Trannies shoot each other with their wannabe real guns.

This thread is drifting sideways.

Just to recap, we started with the alleged 'gayness' of 300, to speedos, tactical-speedos, Miata's, rainbow dolphins, Daisy Duke, Superman, Richard Simmons, Rocky Horror Picture show, trans-sexuals and now we've sunk to an all time low with Airsoft...

Oh ! The humanity.... <_<

I really liked it, but I also liked the graphic novel 300. Oh wait, most people who watched this movie probably never actually read the graphic novel.

+1.

Although when the humor fuse falls out I am apt to say that 300 is a minor wardrobe malfunction away from gay porn.

I'm in that boat. Never knew the novel existed. I based my viewing of 300 on the original 1962 movie ' The 300 Spartans', which I've since read was the basis of the graphic novel.

oh, and I didn't like 300. Too cartoonish. But I had not seen any previews so I was expecting a movie more along the lines of the original.

Okay guys, now seriously ya gotta stop..... this is the second day in a row I woke up the Missus while I'm out here laughing my butt off. I'm gonna get banned from BE morning visits if this keeps up!

BTW Chills... not sure if you shoot over at Arnold but they are having an IPSC match there Sunday.

I enjoyed frank Miller's Sin City, and knowing that this was created along the same vein, I was not disappointed. I guess your irritation level is directly proportionate to your expectations. I picked it up at china mart for $3.97 at the register while picking up some WWB. It was worth it to me.

Does anyone recall the ranting and raving here ? All I can say to it is DILLIGAF.

Oh, and yeah, Xerxes, as portrayed was a little light in his loafers ;)

300 portrayed all the Persians as "freaks" in the eyes of the Greeks, which is historically spot on. Today, we really have no perception of how odd "outsiders" from other cultures appeared to one another.

Why's everyone busting BH's chops?

He didn't say YOU are gay if you liked 300. He just made a funny observation.

Lighten up . . . . . . or go work on your abs

I downloaded the movie for free. I find most any free movie is at least watchable, but 300 was actually pretty damn good. It's necessary to get into the spirt of the movie. Personally I never paid much attention to what they were wearing, but I didn't get any "gay vibe" from the movie.

Not really a comment about the 'gayness' of the movie, but after reading this thread I picked up the two disk DVD of it at walmart. It was priced $19.95, but it rang up $9.00!!! Super bonus!!! Anyways, the special features disk is pretty good. Not sure how credible they are, but two historians discuss what we think we know of the actual events and what is in the movie. Interesting. I'd recommend it!!!

BTW,,, there's a short interview with the chic that plays the kings wife. What a hottie!!!
