chp5 Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I'm looking for recommendations for Production mag pouches for an XD. Thanks.
R/T Performance Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I have a blade tech quad and double Cheap yet effective pistol-gear There is some new slimer singles but have seen any first hand yet
j2fast Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I use the Speedcomp pouches as well but got them from Pistol Gear. http://www.pistolgear.com
robopup Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 +1 on the beltfeed. Send me a reminder and I will bring mine to Cherokee next month.
ABlackburn Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 +2 for Speedcomp. The wife loves them for her CZ75. Mine are for my XD.
Z-man Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I'm using the CR speed pouches. They're a bit costly, but work great and can be used for other types of mags as well.
Viggen Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Uncle MIke's Why go expensive when it's not necessary? UM's are about $17 or $18for a double-holder. Buy two and you come in at close to the price of one CR- Speed's and not far from one 773. True, they are not fancy but they hold mags just fine.
kend Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 SpeedComp from Speed Shooter Specialties We carry them for the S&W but they also fit the XD....or the XD pouches fit the S&W.....

ampleworks Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 773s for USPSA, Blade-Tech injection molded for IDPA. I normaly carry four mags plus one in the gun unless its a short COF
Steve Moneypenny Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 if i were setting up for production and only wanted to do it once i'd do CR speed... if also setting up for IDPA it would be different... I personally don't like the UM mag pouches. I like 2 single pouches it gives me a much better grip on each mag.
chp5 Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 if i were setting up for production and only wanted to do it once i'd do CR speed... I have some CR speed pouches for my Glock set up, but they don't hold the thinner XD mags.
kend Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I can't always position a double mag pouch where I want it with some pants, the belt loops get in the way. I can put the singles where I want them.
ChuckS Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I can't always position a double mag pouch where I want it with some pants, the belt loops get in the way. I can put the singles where I want them. If you use a belt system like the CR, loop locations become irrelevant. You can then use any combo of duals or singles.

Another vote for these from this guy. His customer service and quality are second to none Edited February 25, 2006 by Fireant

Um, they work for my XD mags, actually the work for my XD, SS, Caspian HiCap ,and SVI's Edited February 25, 2006 by Loves2Shoot
DougCarden Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I use my Glock mag pouches as well(Kytacs). I had to clip the rubber boot in half that keeps tension between the lips of the mag pouch, but it now works with the XD mags and glock mags as well. Regards, DougC
