Bill Sahlberg
It feels the same as the 6 shot & 8 shot....

Bosshoss
K,L,N, and X frame with 5,6,7,8,10 shots all have the same trigger travel and can interchange the triggers among the frame sizes.
Toolguy
True. Be aware that sometimes mixing machined parts and MIM parts doesn't work out well. Sometimes it's OK. Depends on the particular mix of parts.
ysrracer
I don't really get where 7 shot revos fit in the scheme of things. Do they have a home?
Joe4d
Well about a gazillion story lines on Walking dead woulda ended short and sweet if Rick had one vs his Colt. Only a small segment of revolver shooters are competitive. 7 shots are in same size and weight as 6 shots,,, so why not ?
pyrrhic3gun
When people started competitively shooting "Baumanized" revos in the early 90's, the extra 7th shot was a big deal, since all that was available were 6-shooters. So, Smith decided it was a good idea to get a piece of the pie. Of course, very quickly RPM started making 8-shooters, but it took Smith a while to start producing the 627 eight-shots. So the 7-shot is an interim design. And some people prefer the slightly smaller frame size.
ysrracer
I remember Charlie Priest, he was a biker looking guy, but he knew his way around a S&W revo.
GMM50
I bought 8 shot 357s way before you could buy 7 shot versions. Edited April 15, 2020 by GMM50 spelling

Carmoney
Naw, George, the Baumann 7-shots came before anybody made an 8-shot. Edited April 17, 2020 by Carmoney
Joe4d
mine works good for my local pin matches. 5 pins,, so 2 extra shots vs 1 helps,,, but if u need 3 extra, ur run is probably fubared anyway

Batmo
I had my local Gunsmith cut my cylinder for moon clips finding it faster on reloads than the HKS 587-A which is a 7 shot speed loader for the 686+.
