MissionaryMike
A lot of 1911/2011 Limited shooters lighten their slides. I don't think I've ever come across a slide lightened TS. Why is that?
BeerBaron
They are already a little bit lighter/lower slide due to the design. The weight is lower relative to top of your hand. But there's no reason not to lighten one up more. I've seen quite a few done
magpulled
I'm having mine done now. Just simple cut on top like a glock 35 or xdm 5.
kneelingatlas
This was my first lightened slide, since then I've learned to take an even amount of weight front and rear: Edited November 10, 2015 by kneelingatlas

dhollis51
it probably takes a long time to lighten a TS slide.
MrPostman
If I owned a TS I would definitely lighten the slide. I bet I could cut about 2oz out of it with my mill.
magpulled
it probably takes a long time to lighten a TS slide.Hopefully not 23 weeks haha
PrimaryBruce
it probably takes a long time to lighten a TS slide. It doesn't take any longer to mill one slide than another slide...and we've milled just bout all of em. lol
huskerlrrp
I was a "D" class shooter and then I lightened my TS slide. Now I'm on the Super Squad! Ok, it's not really a TS, and I'm not a "D" Shooter but this is the internet. Edited November 10, 2015 by huskerlrrp

huskerlrrp
Who finished that barrel? Ionbond did the finishing after I polished and jeweled it. The jeweling is the secret to shooting better
TonytheTiger
This was my first lightened slide, since then I've learned to take an even amount of weight front and rear: Tell us more about the need to balance the lightening fore/aft? jon49erfan
less reciprocating mass. less gun movement between shots
Garmil
Less reciprocating mass. Better/different recoil impulse depending on what a person likes.
adamge
I could see that being a good mod for the TS. With 130pf minor 147grn 9mm ammo the TS cycles very slowly, and it feels like a long recoil cycle.
