soulbyte
Hello, I just acquired 6 140mm STI mags to use with my RIA doublestack . I'm trying to decide between Dawson and Taran Tactical. What are your opinions? Thanks in advance.
SSGJohnV
I use Dawson. Easy on, easy off. I see a lot of people using both, though. Dawson is team awesome in my book, so they get my business.
Quack
Dawson pads here too. Have them for my 2011's and Grocks
BASE772
Can't go wrong with either. I use Taran and have been very happy with them. And in my experience Taran has great customer service..
gng4life
Dawson for most of my mags. Both are good but I like the way the Dawson goes on/off better.
JMike
With a RIA, you might want to consider finding a buddy or buddies that owns both and try them out before you make a decision. One brand might work a little better than the other but both will serve you well.
GeorgeD
I like the taran pads, smaller profile feels better to me. Dawson's are a good product as well, just feel like a big ice cube in my hand, I don't like that. Both come on and off easily, and will give you the extra capacity if that's what you are looking for
Glk21C
TTI and Grams pads will usually give one more round of capacity due to the bottom of the interior of the pad being beveled. Dawson's are milled straight along the bottom. All are good quality pads though, my bias is towards Grams
echotango
Dawson w/grams. But both make a quality product. Edited March 17, 2015 by echotango
818-DVC
I find the TTI pads work with shorter mags and magwells vs the Dawson pads. They both are EZ off pads. Dawson pads are a little heavier, so they might drop a little easier. I have both, but I'm only buying TTI pads when I order new mags, or buy cheaper new or used. bigcraig
I have both and prefer the Dawson.

EasyTargetRN
Dawsons for both my G22 and P16. Looking to experiment though, so I'll follow this one with interest
Mike21STI
TTI 4g here. They work well and are easy to take apart to clean
audani77
I have TTI's in my STI Mags and I like the slimmer profile. They are easy on easy off as well. However if you are running 9mm, you need a spacer to properly feed. It's a PITA sometimes to remove the base pads.
CyclicRate
I have Dawsons on my Para and TTIs on my M&P. They're both great, but I probably prefer the Dawsons for disassembly. TTI offers more color options though.
