I think AA7 is the best thing since sliced bread for 9 major, and I also think WAC is stupid. You and I have discussed it before, lol. SW Major Pistol was a slightly different version of AA7, but loaded and shot essentially the same. I use AA7 exclusively for 9 major these days, since you can't get SW MP. usually around 9.6-9.8 grains for me in my KKM 5.0" OAL barrels with 2 medium holes.

Poll question. Dillon vs mark 7
SSGJohnV replied to Atlas33's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
Mark 7, but I'm biased. Dillon is behind the curve when it comes to features and expandability. -
It's a Teknic brand 3 stage motor off the top of my head. Are you trying to source a replacement, make your own, something like that?

We also have them in stock at Shooters Connection. https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Gun-Parts/1911-2011-Pistols/Slide-Stops/EEMANN-TECH-Competition-Extractor-for-19112011

mounting the new-style CR Speed Versa Pouch
SSGJohnV replied to MoNsTeR's topic in Gear & Accessories
The newer Versa pouches (V2 designation) have been revised to resolve those issues. Fitting on DAA or Dominate belts should be much easier with the current bracket version. We only have the V2 in stock at Shooters Connection nowadays. Let us know if we can help! -
mounting the new-style CR Speed Versa Pouch
SSGJohnV replied to MoNsTeR's topic in Gear & Accessories
They can fit on DAA belts, just have to use more force than normal. My usual method is to put the bracket in a vice and feed the belt through. Once its through a little you can grab it with pliers and pull it more, then finally pull it to its resting position. Don't even need the set screw if you do it that way, TBH. I have 2X DAA belts set up that way. -

Glad you got taken care of! We try to have tempting parts on hand as much as possible. Glad to hear we are doing alright with that! -

I don't know if the Hybrid barrels or the Bull barrels will be coming in first, but we are expecting a restock of both in the coming 4-6 weeks. Hit that "notify" button and the system will inform you as soon as they get put in inventory. -

https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Browse-by-Manufacturer/KKM-Precision-Barrels/KKM-Govt-355-4650-Threaded-1116x40-50-OAL-Ramped We have W/N ramp in stock, but are waiting for C/P ramps to arrive. If you log in and hit "notify when available" you'll get an automatic email when we get them back in stock. We are expecting them in the next month here at Shooters Connection. -
There shouldn't be a need for one. Are you experiencing an issue that a roller bearing would address?

Not yet. We hope to have them in the near future, though! 3 port comps are in stock and up on the Shooters Connection website. https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Gun-Parts/1911-2011-Pistols/Compensator/Binary-Eng-CFD-Titanium-Compensator-Full-Profile-3-Port

Ha! We have some three ports coming in very soon, I know that. Hoping to have them more consistently this year, but anything can happen.

New Machines from Mark 7 Reloading
SSGJohnV replied to SSGJohnV's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
The main benefits for running each step independently are Toolhead-less time between strokes as the toolhead only has to go up so far, shortening the stroke Shell plate-time savings from indexing the shell plate ASAP with pistol, or to lessen powder spillage and bullet topple when you wait to index until after the tool head has ceased moving upward. Priming system-to have primers feed as quickly as necessary with a smoother servo controlled rotation, not moving at Mach 5 to keep up The benefits are more than whats obvious and should lend itself to a smother and more efficient loading process for the end user. -
Loading/processing two cartridges on the same Titan is possible, providing that the cartridges both use the same shell plate.

New Machines from Mark 7 Reloading
SSGJohnV replied to SSGJohnV's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
The Genesys drive train is composed of three independent motors, and minimal accessory parts besides, making for a very compact, simple, and robust drive system. This simple system means no user servicing is required for the life of the unit, but in the unlikely event of pre-mature wear the system is easily serviceable. In short, we've made the drive system as robust as possible to minimize service requirements, and enhance function. It's user serviceable if needed, but doesn't have regular service requirements due to the nature of the system. -

New Machines from Mark 7 Reloading
SSGJohnV replied to SSGJohnV's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
I can't speak to either of those questions at the current moment, but I'm going to try to get an answer soon. Don't want to say stuff I'm not sure about! -
New Machines from Mark 7 Reloading
SSGJohnV replied to SSGJohnV's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
Machine is still compatible with our digital powder check, just not installed for the show. Devap sense has been one of our sensors for a long time. Its installed, hut you don't have to enable it if you so choose. With our current machines it operates the same way. I'll have to get back to you on the Primer orientation sensor compatibility. I don't want to speak out of turn. -
Hey, Folks. Wanted to show off the new machine Mark 7 is launching in 2023, Genesys. It's al "All-In-One" machine that will be ready to go out of the box with Onboard collated priming 11" Case Feeder Mechanical Powder Measure Mr. Bullet Feeeder It has isolated shell plate index, priming actuation, and tool head stroke via independently controlled motors. Means you can operate faster without having to move EVERYTHING faster.

I would like to clarify this as I think some miscommunication (internally and externally) has occurred. While Bottom Slowdown is not currently available on 1050 auto drives, we are planning a software update for that in the near future, and have been planning it for some time. Can't provide specifics, but it will be a free download from our website. It will also include some other features that I can't go in to here. Hope that helps!

Mark 7 EVO Rifle Powder drop not metering consistently
SSGJohnV replied to mpmo's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
There are a few things going on, some of which have been mentioned above. Rules of powder in a volumetric powder measure. 1. Discard the first charge thrown after you make a change to the charge weight. 2. Never let the powder get below the baffle. 3. Ensure your powder is settled. Upon initial fill OR if it has set for a while (overnight/weekend) , your powder will most likely have compressed. Dump the first 5-10 charges in these scenarios. 4. Setting up your powder measure correctly. Please follow the instructions to ensure you are getting the stem to make O-ring contact with the body at full extension. 5. Obstruction in the cavity or funnel. Ensure you do not oil the measure. I believe the lower housing sleeve is lightly greased from the factory for smoother operation. If debris has made its way into the measure that can also cause issues. 6. Inconsistent stroke. It takes time for all the powder to fall down into the case. Are you allowing a slight "dwell" at the bottom of the stroke? Are you noticing spilled powder around the powder station? I would encourage you to submit a support ticket on the Mark 7 Reloading website if you are still having issues. https://www.markvii-loading.com/supports/customer-service-support.html
