TiteGroup smells like... baby powder?!?

My reloads and those of others using TiteGroup have a bizarre pleasant smell reminiscent of baby powder.

I am the only one to notice?

And why is that, do you think?

Has it always been the case? I have been using TiteGroup for a few months as N320 simply disappeared.

Thanks!

Baby powder?

nyet

The only powder I've ever gotten a weird smell from is unique.

Were you using some kind of funky home brew bullet coating lube?

Back in the cowboy shooting days I had some crazy ass concoctions! Bullet lube of beeswax, mutton tallow, lard. No kidding!

That mixed with real deal black powder made for some amazing aromas!

Ah you may be onto something. I use Bayou bullets. And so does a buddy of mine, same combo and same coating, in this case the golden coating, plus Tite Group.

It's actually nice. It makes everybody happy.

This an old thread but ….I went looking for “Titegroup and odd smells” and here it is. It’s been driving me crazy these last weeks. WHAT IS THAT SMELL.? I’ve changed soap, deodorant, I’ve blamed the wife’s deodorant everything. Now I know someone else suffers. I thought it was my grandson😁, or his baby bottle. It is a thing. It’s not a bad smell nor is it like steak on a pan, it’s jusTt WHAT IS THE SMELL.

Might switch to Bullseye😂😂😂

Titegroup absorbs smells.  I reload at my shop and once (when I started reloading with tg) someone said “your gunpowder smells like brakes”.   And I’m in the brake business.

🤢 And hot brakes smells like burning horse hair. 😅

Some of the priming mix in one of those imported 22’s has a strange odor too.
