TonytheTiger
You can't go wrong with the Vortex razor HD 2 1-6x. I just fingered one the other day at Vortex HQ and it's an amazing optic with a very bright dot and well under your budget. Nugget
The vortex hd 2 is a great scope. Clear glass, true 1x, bright dot, holdover marks are great no clutter, and with the money left over from your budget you can get a good mount a cat tail and lens cover. TonytheTiger
Oh yeah don't forget the locking illumination dial. And it's badass appearance.
Doug H.
Pick up a used Swarovski Z6i 1-6x24 with the BRT reticle. Still the gold standard in 3 gun optics. Vortex 1-6 would be my second choice. Doug
uncledoc
Take a look at the Bushnell Elite 1 x 6 with the BTR 1 reticle.....I like it a lot.....YMMV.
P.E. Kelley
I would probably buy two Burris XTRII 1x5's but that's just a guy looking for the best value.
TonytheTiger
In my experience, stay away from the the Bushnell btr-1 or 2 in FFP, the reticle is too small to see on 1x and the illumination is nowhere near daylight bright to help see the tiny reticle. EaZeNuTZ33
Like my Vortex 1-6....center red dot is almost like shooting my Aimpoint and the reticle lines work out well for me.

GSonnen
Vortex Razor HD 2. Ive been shooting mine in multigun for 11 months. I have no reason to want another optic. Why? Glass is crystal clear JM reticle built for this game Built like a tank. With all the lumps and bumps of practical shooting, it has held the same zero I dialed 11 months ago. Center red dot acts like an aimpoint at 1x. Big, solid knob adjustments Warranty (I broke my Vortex cattail, i mailed it with a written explanation. A new one was at my door 7 days later). shakman
Vortex HD 1-6 all the way. I've had mine for a year now, and it's fantastic. I've played with the Swarovski and the Leupold options, and I wasn't as blown-away as I was with the Vortex. It's not perfect, but IMHO, it's got the best marriage of the best features. meanzbullet
I also have a Docter 1-4x24 that only has an illuminated dot. On a short rifle for close up 3GN style stages it is just like shooting an open pistol. Super bright clear glass. http://www.docter-germany.de/en/products/prod/cat/docterbasic/prod/docterbasic-1-4x24.html
