I'm working on enlarging small primer pocket brass to large flash holes. Alpha Munitions does this on a lot of their small primer pocket rifle brass. Seems to me that it would be the best of both worlds.

There is no way a Hunter slide is moving as fast as a stock 2 or limited slide, so, your experience is the opposite of what would be expected from physics.

Large frame Polymer guns tend to be the easiest and most compatible, even with steel frame uppers. However, the polymer guns are the ones most confused between large and small frame due to the fact almost all wholesalers use small frame pics for large frame guns. Within large frame steel guns, there is a wider variance of tolerances causing more fitment issue. Also steel uppers look cosmetically funny on polymer lowers.

I feel like making a shield ez+ that uses shield plus magazines would be a good solution.

Well, the p322 has a factory 20 round magazine, and they are suppose to have 25 round extended one coming out. I don't have the gun, but did see them magazine at a local Scheels, and it is smaller than most of my handgun magazines in all dimensions.

I didn't realize he quit selling those nut and bolt kits. I meant to get some of them.

Buy a 38 super barrel and 38 super comp brass and you don't have to machine the slide.

Just to be clear, this pistol is less than a decade old.

PS there is no such thing as a small frame 38 super.

I think you are looking for a limited pro, which is an ifg product now.

The compact slide on a full size frame used to be commonly refered to as a semi compact. Here is a pic of one from a search here:

If you're getting it milled anyway you could pick up a steel pro for less than a stock 2 and then have it finished after the machine work.

Mecgar is the supplier for more factory mags than any other company I am aware of. Most oem pistol mags I am aware of are actually mecgar. The exceptions are mostly the exteme high volume stuff you'd expect.

Hadn't shot enough of it to really tune for it, as I was going back to 38 super two boxes after. It was just a 16#.

Modern tanfos are not round tops anymore, haven't been for almost 5 years. Not that there isn't still old stock out there. The lightest for the slide length 10mm modelsI am aware of are the poly match models.

Although it functions fine and is plenty accurate, my father's 5-7 just doesn't feel like my stock III.

Looks like an update on the original stock, which was not available with a rail, but otherwise had the same specs, but was hard chromed.

A polymer carry models has to be close. Could you swap the upper from a carry to a compact?

While I can't disagree, there is also no reason that sig should use one sight dovetail, Glock a totally different setup, a Beretta another, and at least two major types used for 1911s. There is no standard in the industry, so it makes no sense to complain about one manufacturer not sticking to something that doesn't exist. I have the same argument about mags. I'd really like my double stack 9mm 92 mags to fit Glock, a sig, etc.
