Dazhi you are are great shooter and I don’t fault you for looking for a way out from the procedurals. Sadly if we want to use the RO “coaching” as the escape, we are pretty much saying he should have said nothing and then given you the full 12 procedurals.

I’ll chime in. Account 1: WSB is clear. Have to shoot first string Strong Hand after reload. There is no “OR” stated for which hand to transition to. It says “Strong Hand”. Shooter transitioned to WH. 6 procedurals. Account 2: Shooter believes RO was coaching when RO stated (Paraphrasing) “Be mindful of what you do for string 2, you just got 6 procedurals.” Shooter Arbed rule 8.6.1 Coaching. There are no grounds for a reshoot under coaching. In fact you as the shooter can get a procedural and or the “coacher”. I’m sure the Shooter/arbitrator wasn’t trying to accumulate a 7th procedural as he took the ROs advice on how to shoot string 2. Arbing for RO interference (a different rule) would have been a better platform.

Anyone try the new Atlas mags in an SV yet?

Saw some pics that showed its definitely on track to be ready for 2021. But will the world be ready to shoot matches again. I want to LOL but Im dying a little inside.

My .02 so far making this transition. I couldn't handle how much the AA7 caked inside my guns anymore. So far good results with the SWMP but still too early to tell if its the AA7 killer. I'm loading 10.2gr in 38 Super Comp for about 170PF with no poppel holes in my guns. I learned on the book of faces that there were some lot variants they discovered so note worth LOT 514. Plated 124gr Accura HPs seem to group well so far. More testing to come but I bought 32 pounds so Im in it for the long haul.

Curious to see if BUL becomes the next go to entry gun to get.

I'm not defending s#!t quality by any means. I have two STIs that have been back for warranty work sub 4000 rounds that were 100% manufacture defects.

I 100% believe we as competition shooters made ourselves very unappealing to them.

Isn't it?! Its a double edged sword. People gripe that they want our officers/deputies to have more training but when it comes to tax time to pay for it........

I have seen some LEOs with non issued guns. In fact one that stands out was one with a 1911. What caught my attention was the 800 single stack mags he had on the belt LOL. But a lot of agencies go against this due to liabilities associated with it. Like Ssanders says, its whose behind the helm.

Same here. 15 years. While I agree 100% with your statement of who is behind the helm, this is more of an outlier than the norm.

Most agencies across the country do not have the budget to outfit the staff with 2011 style pistols. My full time gig deals with this. Hell they don't even have the ammo budget we would all want them to have. The smaller departments make up the majority of the agencies across the US so I don't see them going after regular department contracts. Most likely as mentioned above, trying to hit the larger budget agencies. This doesn't make sense to me cause they are way fewer.

Had the same thoughts here too haha. To be honest, these are just tools in my mind. Not looking to spend family heirloom money. That way I don't cry as hard if I bump into a bench or another shooter. Curious to see what or if this changes the 2011 Custom market.

I run a few DVC opens that were early gens with issues but after a great warranty experience with STI they run great. Knock on wood three times.

My .02 on the Limcats ( I own two). Despite looking like cray, the steel holds up well. However Im concerned about my feed lips over time.

Picked one up last week primarily because I heard it was drop in on the STI frame. Hot dang and it was. Fitting my last two EVO grips left me with gray hairs. I have issues with filing and patience which tends to lead to expensive mistakes. So far Im 100% happy with the Cheely. Only setback is the proprietary parts for it but they work Im good with that. Grip, Mag release, and magwell for the same price I paid for my Evos. Pic for pron.....

Resurrecting this from the grave as I just purchased a photography drone not too long ago. Here are my thoughts. Drones really are the next evolution for filming options. Some people tend to fear new things and simply want to whine and moan about something they don't understand. I work in a field that introduces a new thing to people set in their ways all the time and have even seen people quit their job over not wanting to learn a new product. Distractions can be a real concern but let's have a real talk. There are guns going off around you and a slight humming (Newer Drones) is distracting you? If it's above the berm, What the hell are you doing looking there instead of the targets and your movement? If a bird flys across the berm, are you going to stop and demand a reshoot? When I'm shooting a stage, I don't even notice the RO right on me. I think where the distraction is going to be a legitimate concern is when you have someone filming shooters within the bay and without their approval. Having too many amatuer users out there trying to use drones isn't going to end well. It just takes one incident to ruin it for all of us.
