DrLove
so what do you guys do in the off season other than dry fire to keep in shape? Assuming you do not have access (or can't for some other reason) attend matches for 3-4 months?
Trent1k1
Move to Florida. We don't have an "Off-Season"! I think it is a great question though. Couple of months early this year when it was so hard to get components, I did a ton of dry firing. I have noticed that my accuracy diminished though. Not necessarily missing A's, but headshots were very tough. I ended up going to a regular range and practiced accuracy. Based on how I shot last weekend, its time for me to do that again. bikerburgess
Or Oregon, We just bag the targets and keep shooting.I think the only match that we don't shoot in the winter is the Dundee match in December because it is the same week as Christmas. other than that the schedule is the same year round. Lifeislarge
I suppose open shooters could practice working on their guns. That's what I see most of them doing at matches anyways. Or take up skiing!!!

Sarge
I take time away from shooting so I don't get burned out. Sending the gun off today to get it refinished, new trigger, etc. I like to sort brass and work on load development during the off season as well. After the holidays I will start doing a little dry fire.

40S&W
Shoot USPSA & IDPA indoors once a month. Shoot outdoors weather permitting, and load a lot of ammo for the upcoming season.

Hi-Power Jack
Sex would seem like a reasonable alternative. You're close, Steve, but backwards. Actually, shooting is a great alternative to sex.
Steve RA
True, but in both there are similar pitfalls, such as ADs or hitting the wrong target by accident.
