98sr20ve
Picture of the complete kit as it will be sold. It comes with one each medium and large no beavertail and medium and large with beavertail. Kinda a weird way to package the thing if you ask me. Picture and info from the shot show. ima45dv8
Kinda a weird way to package the thing if you ask me. That's because they're for Gen4 models, which of course come with the two non-beavertail backstraps by default. The kit adds the two beavertail backstraps, a plactic punch for removing and inserting the TH pin, and an extended TH pin.
98sr20ve
The one I handled had the two original back straps in it as well. Don't know why they would provide the same two straps that came with the gun.

JB326
I'm glad to see that these are finally becoming available. Since I really like the naked Gen 4 frame, yet I am a horrific slide bite victim, I've been cutting the beavertail portion off of GFA's and epoxying them directly to the frame. Works for Gen 3's too. Stician
...looking forward to idpa saying they're legal for SSP. they will if Glock starts shipping new Gen 4 pistols with the beavertail strap
Chuck D
it would be a factory replacement part so it wouldn't have to be shipped with a new gun, just available as a factory option. Same theory as the 34/35 slide stop and extended mag release on a G17/19 pistol.
unclebud
I just ordered a set from Glock for my 34 and 21 gen 4. $16 per set. I talked with someone at Glock and they said they are in stock.
up2dsno
Beavertails are now shipping with at least the 17s and 22s. Bought a 17 with them this week. Saw the 22s at the shop with them as well.

DRock
Check DannrR's post at Glock Talk, Post #23. http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1475810 "It's official. Factory and aftermarket beavertails are legal on any Glock. Frame mods to build a beavertail are not." bishop414
Has anyone received an order from the factory? I am still waiting for an acknowledgement, or hopefully find something on my doorstep soon.
Stician
I sent my order in on 3/14 and haven't heard anything. I didn't provide my serial number on the order thinking it isn't necessary for a backstrap. Wondering myself what's up as well.

kita
That would be cool if the beavertail was production legal.
Shokr21
I see no reason why it wouldn't be. To me it falls under the same line of thinking as OEM extended mag release, and slide release. They're legal so why shouldn't this be legal?
