shooter995
In your own opinion, who has the best Magwell for the Glock?? This will be for a Open Glock Build!
Whitefish
SJC - either the light-weight aluminum or the heavy brass. The opening is huge! I have small hands and like the way it forces my hand position higher. Those with bigger hands may prefer the Dawson.
McGlock
I highly second the SJC magwell in brass! Absolutely worth the weight! Love mine and won't look to any other magwell.. Seems to fit my support hand very well too!
works for ammo
One more for The SJC, I have an aluminum one and It's more like a mag funnel...
P.E. Kelley
Glockworx, offers both heavy and light versions that fit tight and look right. I run the heavy
itchy
Can you use the SJC magwell if you don't have an extension on your magazines? (If you are using standard 17 round 9 mm mags?) Seiichi
mjts
Dawson Precision; you have the option of a light, heavy (5.5 oz.), or x-heavy (6.7 oz.) magwell. I also like the replacable base inserts. Mike
shovel_doctor
+1 for SJC. you can use a standard mag but getting the mag seated fully can be a pain. you have to push the mag up into the magwell.

Seiichi If you're running open/limited, why would you run without mag extensions? +8 for the SJC.
MrVvrroomm
Glockworx Zev, brass with large brass insert. FTW
Mike_P
I had a Glockworx ZEV for a while as well. I really liked that there were many different weight configurations and finishes to choose from. The one I received was a great quality piece. If I ever put one back on any of my glocks that's the first one I'll consider. (Though with all these posts about the SJC, I would definitely check it out as well.)
paopao
I use dawson. but after looking at other brands, sjc is my second option
hellioncobra
I have a ZEV on mine, but it is the only one i have ever had. So nothing to compare. Nate
Biddle
I'm using Dawson on mine and couldn't ask for a better magwell. But you can't really go wrong with the other brands mentioned. All companies have great customer service and offer excellent products.
fishhunter3
well I have to throw in the Caver very tight fit to gun, big opening and will work with most mag extensions
itchy
Can you use the SJC magwell if you don't have an extension on your magazines? (If you are using standard 17 round 9 mm mags?) Seiichi If you're running open/limited, why would you run without mag extensions? +8 for the SJC. The Pro-Am match put on by Phil Strader. 10 round limit. Open and Limited. I generally shoot Production, so I don't have mag extensions, and I'm not going to build new mags for one match a year, but I am willing to slap on a magwell. I guess I can just practice my reloads more...but that would be like cheating. Seiichi
Atlgentlegiant
+1 for SJC. I use the Arredondo +0 base pads on my mags for Limited 10 and they make it a lot easier to take down the mags for cleaning too.
TerryYu
Are glock magwells legal in production?
fuentesd99
Are glock magwells legal in production? No, Magwells are not legal in production. I learned that the hard way. If you have a magwell on and you are shooting production and you are caught, you will be bumped to open minor. TRUST ME I KNOW!!
fuentesd99
Oh, forgot to answer the original post I love my ICE MAG and I have a Glockworx as well on another gun. I like them both, but, really love the ICE better.

SUPERDUPER
If you plan on high cut under trigger and alittle out of the beaver tail area than the sjc will work great. If hands are normal size or slightly large the sjc will really pinch your hand with out the high cuts on the frame. If you plan on leaving the frame stock the dawson is a great choice. beastyboy
I really like Dawson Precision's Super-Heavy Magwell: Well-built, looks great and no replacable inserts. I have a hard time understanding why some folk think using a frail plastic insert is a good idea. It's not like you can mess up a brass magwell so why bother with brittle plastic? Regarding the SJC magwell: Mostly form follows function, but that one's just an ugly behemoth. YMMV though.
jhshooter
+3 on the SJC, one lightweight on my Open and 2 heavy on my limited guns. I have larger hands and the magwell seats my hand on the gun perfectly.
tt350z
I use a ZEV on mine. I would use a Dawson ICE, but they're not available for the gen 4's yet. Nothing wrong with the ZEV though, just preference.
