GmanCdp Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 wacked my front sight on a wall one time and went into sniper mode doing the reverse ghost ring effect..win 231 and lead seem to smoke them up quit abit,and i'll replace it 2/3 times a yr usually before going to a match.. Intel6 Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 I have a small perscription (secure top and can see contents) bottle in my bag with extra precut rods, lighter and nail clippers. I pre cut the rods to length and melt one end so when I need to replace one I slip it in, snip off the excess and melt the front. I can install a new one in about 30 seconds. Bob DuBois Posted July 25, 2011 Share Posted July 25, 2011 Haven't had one come out since going to two part epoxy. Just a very small dab before pushing the rod in has held it for years.
