JakeMartens
Just wondering what people think. Mine is covered with skateboard tape, the STIppling doesn't do much Edited March 12, 2011 by fortyfiveshooter
ck1
Mine is actually fairly sharp around it's dimples... not as good as checkering but pretty good. STIppling + undercut-trigger-guard > checkering IMHO.

Aircooled6racer
Hello: I have not bought one since the front strap has the dimples. They don't do a thing for grip. I have shot quite a few that had the front strap covered with skate tape. I would like to see 20 LPI checkering or just left plan. That way I could checker it. Or just buy a Spartan and checker that---OH that is what I did Thanks, Eric
tjs375
I think it looks nice, had a trojan and now have it on a ranger II and it now sports grip tape over the front strap with a set of stippled grip panels.
Gary1911A1
I prefer something more aggressive like Chuck Roger's Golfballs.
2MoreChains
The STIppling didn't do anything for me either so I added grip tape to mine.
BayouSlide
Works fine for me as is, but then I have some aggressive grip panels. YMMV. Curtis
twodownzero
Totally useless. If someone would make a $1000 1911 with the front strap checkered that wasn't a Taurus, I'd own it.

astephenson
It works ok, but I'm sure checkering would probably be better. I've got some aggressive grips, so I haven't felt the need to put grip tape on it.

mpolans
If it had 30lpi or was plain (so I could checker it myself), I'd get one.
Nemo
i don't own a Trojan and never really paid attention on the ones I've seen or shot but this thread sparked my curiosity. Is the Trojan's mainspring housing also STIppled or is it the usual plastic STI part?

GForceLizard
Count me as another Trojan owner that covered the stippling with grip tape.
