BritinUSA
According to USPSA.org, Rob Leatham is on the US Modified Team for the 2011 World Shoot...

BritinUSA
Can TGO shoot a reflex sight or have they figured out how to get a Micro in the box? If the scope was mounted ahead of the ejection port then it would work.

Matt Cheely
Be interesting to see what the Springfield Custom Shop will come up with for Modified. I assume they'll build his gun.
TMC
We should start a poll. Will Robbie use his Standard/Limited gun or shoot a full-on Modified gun? It just has the fit in the box and his ammo meet the PF. Edited February 6, 2011 by TMC
BritinUSA
With the smaller targets and traditionally tighter shots that typically occur at World Shoots, I would say that shooting a regular Standard gun in Modified would be a huge dis-advantage. Even with Leatham's incredible skill level, it would be too much to overcome. I suspect that we will see a full-on modified gun for this match and I further suspect that gun already exists and is getting some serious range-time already. AzYooper
I have seen him at a match using a pistol very similar to his Limited pistol, but it had a Doctor type sight on it. Now I know that his limited pistol will not fit in the box, but a Doctor might be used.
DonovanM
Can someone explain to a n00b in simple terms how IPSC Modified is different from IPSC Open/USPSA Open? Thanks.
jar
Basically, a Modified gun is an open gun that fits in a 225mm x 150mm x 45mm box. Also, you have to shoot 40 for major like limited/standard.
diehli
Also different holster and mag pouch position requirements from Open (i.e. same as Standard division). Power factor, too, no? Edited February 8, 2011 by diehli
norbs007
PF is 170 in Modified vs. 160 in Open.

pjb45
Supermoto, have your melted your optic plastic yet? Awesome picture. My Open guns has about a 1,000 poppel holes, I am afraid if I rotate the optic the lens will melt.

I have swapped to a Serendipity and have not had issues with that either Edited February 11, 2011 by Supermoto
