Best offset red dot mounting solution?

The three gun matches I shoot in allow the use of multiple optics on the rifle.

With that in mind, I'd like to try an offset red dot in conjunction with my magnified optic. For those of you with experience, what have you found to be a good mounting solution for your close in optic (red dot)?

So far, I've found these options:

1. LaRue LT-724 angled mount with Aimpoint Micro:

2. Daniel Defense offset mount (would also be used with an Aimpoint micro):

3. Matt Burkett mount with J Point:

http://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPA-MB

4. The last and least expensive option would be a C-More Railway mounted offset on a VTAC style handguard.

What do you guys think?

I am using the DD 1 oclock offset. It would be better mounted for a righthanded shooter, but I have mine at 11 oclock for a lefty. So far I like it better than mounted on the handguard, gives a bigger field of view thru the lens. Downside of it on this side of the recvr. is when it is mounted back far enough to clear my Larue lever, I have the Docter mount on the last slot of the DD, and there is not much clearance for the charging handle.

Works for me though. Price is right too. Will try to post pics when I get home tonight.

Warne has a new scope mount as well called the RAMP. It is a similar to the Larue SPR mount, extending the scope forward a bit. On the back of the mount is an angled rail that can be removed and placed on either the left or right side. I've been trying it out and I like it. Haven't had a chance to give it a really thorough shakedown. But it will be staying on my rifle through the Ironman.

I use the burkett mount and like it ,but i wished that instead on the 45 angle it would have been a litlle less.

I would love to see it at 30 degrees and a bit closer to the receiver, and leave the wings out so it is more like the old model he made (it was not so bulky)

I know something..................

I would like to know it too

Lost? nope. Just have to have an AR set up that way to go with my way-cool Saiga from Jim. In fact, I've got a brand spanking new LIMITED upper I'll be running at some matches this year.

So now you go both ways? :sight:

Chuck,

Where'd you find a RAMP in stock? Been searching, and thought this was still vaporware. Midway keeps pushing back the availability date. Looks like it would be perfect for an open setup.
