  1. Hello: Looks like no front sight cut as well. Maybe Sig is actually listening? Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello: I have a Blade Tech that fits the Sig Max that I would sell. It is legal for single stack division. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello: take the burr out of the firing pin hole. A very light chamfer will stop the shaving of the primer. I use a 3 corner scraper. Also use small rifle primers. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello: I have run a C-More slide ride with an American Defense mount, Holosun 507C and also just a green laser. I can also shoot both right and left handed which helps alot. What works for some may not work for you. Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello: I have tried aluminum(two different ones), steel(two different ones) and plastic. I actually prefer the plastic grip over the others. It just feels better to me and is lighter. This is on open pistols using 115's at 171-173PF of 9mm. Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello: titanium for a carry pistol and steel for a play or competition pistol. Lots of other choices out there for high cap pistols as well. Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello: How big is the bore hole in the comp? What powder are you using? Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello: I am using the Henning base pads for my 10rd IDPA magazines. I bought them from Shooters Connection. They have dots on the bottom as well. Nice checkering for good grip when seating the magazine. Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello: I have not had any problems with the TTI base pads at all. I am not sure how a base pad causes a double feed problem? I can see it if the magazine spring is bad but I am using the TTI base pads with stock springs and followers as well as Grams spring and followers and they run 100%. Could it be that the grip tape you added is deforming the grip? Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello: The Blue bullets I have seen in the past year or so have not been round. I am not sure if that is still the case or not. It could also be the twist you have on the barrels. Are they both 1-16, 1-24 or 1-32? Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello: Just clearance the racker where it is touching the mount. Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello: The only thumb rest I have on my open pistol is the Allchin one that comes on the STI scope mount. Here are some pics of it. Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello: Yes I added a wood block so that I could mount a hanger on the holster. The added space gives clearance for the mounting screws so they won't contact the frame or slide. I have not tried the holster yet to see how fast or slow it is for me. With a little dry fire setting up the angle I think it will be fast enough for me. Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello: I think STI need to invest in themselves. Start making the parts in house again and use better grade of materials. If other companies can do it in a short time frame they should be able to as well. Thanks, Eric
  15. Hello: Here is the mounting bracket I built for the holster. I had to support the back of the holster more to stop it from flexing and slowing down my draw. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello: here is the scratch. It fell from holster height. Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello: I went with the Gray Guns trigger since I like a curved trigger. The more I shoot it the lighter it gets. I took out the overtravel sleeve since I like a little more overtravel. It makes it feel closer to more 2011's with around a 1/16" overtravel. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello: I am a fan of the Holosun 510C and 507C. Both have worked 100% on PCC's, CO and open pistols. I even dropped my carry optic pistol with the 507C onto gravel at the range. It landed directly on the 507C and it did not change the zero. The 507C does have a paint chip on it now but still works. Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello: With my toaster oven set on low it took about 5 minutes. It got hotter sooner than I thought it would. I set it on low to heat it up slowly so I could raise the temp to 300 but I found out that on low it got up to 330 degrees alot quicker than expected. The infrared thermometer saved me from burning up the Kydex or making it shinny. It was only $10 and I can use it for all kind of things. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello: This open pistol has a Allchin mount with his flat thumb rest. The tools I used to make the holster were a toaster oven, two pieces of foam, large clamp, clamping press and the most important part was a hand held non e contact thermometer. Don't get the Kydex too hot and that is where the thermometer helped to get the 325-340 degrees I needed in the toaster oven. Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello: You can drill and tap the mount you have for the Allchin flat rest. I have done that to a couple of mounts that are not STI or Allchin mounts. Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello: I use Marmot Precip jacket and pants. The jacket has pit zips which are great when it is warm out. They pack out small and even work well on a motorcycle. Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello: Well I have wanted to try a Kydex open holster for a number of years. I found a couple of people who could build one but they all said it may not fit your open pistol or it would have to be reheated to work. So being a little handy with tools I decided to make my own holster. Here is what I came up with. I still have to decide on which mount system to go with but so far it seems to work pretty well. Thanks, Eric
  24. Hello: Looks like a good setup to me. Thanks, Eric
  25. Hello: The first question should be what are you going to use the pistol for? What do you want the pistol to do for you? I have tested and build my own comps and found what works in the 171-173PF range with low muzzle rise and recoil in the hand. I like lighter bullets than most using 115's for 9mm and 38 super/super comp. More info would be helpful so we can help you out. Thanks, Eric
