My furnace might as well be outdoors and I go through about three a year.
I always have two back ups in my safe (more controlled enviroment) and use disposable rubber gloves when I change them. They are pretty eroded when they get changed, kind of like an electrode on an old spark plug. My installer and I were thinking propane might be eroding them faster than natural gas. Any info would be welcome.

As Carol's kids (the two who are in HVAC) would say --- it might be time to hire a professional.....
Around here you'll get better work from amatuers.
And no call backs, it will get done right the first time.
The "professionals" here will come and charge you by the hour and leave the problem unfixed
or worse than before they arrived.
