    A-01 Wide safety

CZC says their extended left side safety (10955) requires fitting. "Fitting will be required." I have fitted the wide safety to my Bull Shadow, it was just fitting the end of the pin to the "D" on the frame, not complicated. So is the fitting required for the A-01 more involved? https://czcustom.com/a01-lh-safety-ext.html
  2. The 115 HAP's are the most accurate I have tested with the Zero JHP (in 124 gr.) a close second. I have NOT tested them at the same time with the same brass, powder, etc. so not a apples to apples test but both are great bullets.
  3. At the distance you shoot in USPSA most any decent bullet will work unless you are shooting 9 MM open. Most go for cheap or local unless sponsored which usually means coated. But you must try and make sure a particular bullet (brand, shape weight, etc.) works in YOUR firearm. Test for reliable function and accuracy. I suggest trying small batches before any bulk purchase. JMHO. Good luck.
  4. Yes but I've had problems feeding 147 FP in my 9 MM 1911 (Springfield). So I settled on the 135 RN, they work in everything. But you thank for the suggestion.
  5. I like the extended safety, it helps me keep my grip up as high as possible.
  6. I like 135 because it doesn't have the issues 147 gr. sometimes does. My CZ's like short bullets so loading 147 or 160's long is not an option.
  7. Talk to CZ some have reported getting it done for free by them.
  8. Some CZ's were over the weight limit imposed by USPSA or IDPA (now changed), slide lighting was a way to make max weight. Some feel a lighter slide causes loss muzzle flip, i.e. slide hitting frame at full recoil and again going into battery. Some just like THE LOOK. It can also give better grip when manipulating the slide. I'm sure there are other reasons. I'm planning on having my A-01 milled for an optic, at that time I may have some COOL LOOKING slide cuts done.
  9. I compete in USPAS with both the SP-01 and the S2, the difference for me is very little. If and when you get to be a M or GM then the equipment may make a noticeable difference...IMHO. An SP-01 with a trigger job is an excellent choice.
  10. The first FX-10 presses should be in the hands of the public. Anybody hear or seen any first impressions?
  11. I use the Armanov Spidergo large palm swell and I really like them. Great grip without chewing up my baby soft hands. I have the Eemann flat trigger and the tools for TRS and sear spring, big help when it's spring (changing) time.
  12. I use a lee u-die for 9 MM (looks like 9 in the photo but not sure). Make sure you are using the same pressure on the handle every time. Looks like a Wilson gauge which is very tight...if it fits in the Wilson it will fit any pistol...what is most important is does it fit YOUR barrel, just make sure it plunks AND spins. The case gauges that do 100 at a time do seem slightly more forgiving IMHO. With time you should gain consistence. Which will help.
  13. Hodgdon web site shows they are stock out of Clays. Alliant doesn't show that info (as far as I can find). https://shop.hodgdon.com/shop-all/?_bc_fsnf=1&Group=Smokeless+Powder&brand=38&sort=bestselling&page=2
  14. BUT did you say WHEN you would sell it, waiting for the right time could take years
  15. I like the AMG commander for dry fire as it can pick up dry fire or racking the slide, etc. This allows you to time your draw to the first trigger pull or picking up the gun, inserting mag and racking slide (unloaded start) as well as other exercises. Also the beep on the lowest setting does not bother others in the house. And at the range the sensitivity can be turned down so other shooters shots are rarely recorded.
  16. A couple of burn rate charts I looked at show WSF as a faster powder than N350 so a direct comparison is difficult. It appears to be between N330 or N340. VV powders are (in my experience) clean burning and meter well. For 9 MM standard loads N320 and N330 IMHO are more common. What about the WSF makes you want to change?
  17. Commander has 3 settings. https://www.amg-lab.com/
  18. Anybody got any news, the web sight just says "coming soon". Several promised dates have come and GONE.
  19. I download into Excel then save as an XLSX file. Then start any changes or notes that I want to make.
  20. IMHO....And the an external battery, it uses up AA batteries guickly.
  21. Started with one in 30-06 and IMR something or other powder back in the 70's....budget was tight. Those were the days!
  22. With my first dot I bought a second complete slide so I could go back easily...3 years and still haven't put the original slide back on....it's only money...LOL
  23. Yes...fixed sight plate, the plate is for the optic and a rear sight.
