  1. I would always run a ladder with different bullets even if very similar. IMHO. It's quick, easy and why not. You could then go up the the 4.3 grs. you are considering. One thing to consider when changing bullets is the seating depth, which is not the same as OAL. If the bullets are different lengths then the heel of the bullet of the longer one will be further in the case, which means a smaller combustion area and, probably, higher pressures.

    Holosun 507comp

Mounted mine on existing plate from CZC which is for generic for Holosun, RMR etc. Shooting my first competition today.
  3. Once you get the pre and over travel screws adjusted don't forget the locktite.
  4. I use mine other don't. Try it, see if you like it.
  5. Probably not but OAL does depend on what bullet you are using and there is always some variation from barrel to barrel. My guess is the OR version uses the same barrel as the other A-01's so not long throat-ed.
  6. One of my additions to my X-10 is a glass hopper from Dram Works. No more static cling, I also added one years ago to my Hornady powder measure. https://dramworx.com/frankford-arsenal/
  7. The above is my BS which I really like and use in USPSA CO. This is a converted SP-01. Very accurate and soft shooting. A couple of negatives is the "thin" finish which started wearing off at about the second match...well maybe the third... Another is that removing the recoil spring and barrel are a bit of a pain having to compress the spring and putting in a pin to hold it in place. BUT overall I like it ALOT. Overall I am glad I did it, the only CZ I might use in CO instead is if I get my A-01 cut for an optic. It would be interesting to shoot both side by side.
  8. You can also look at data for 140 gr.. Vihtavuori publishes data for 140 FMJ on there web site. With N320, for example, 135 plated starting is 3.0 gr. while 140 FMJ is 2.9 gr. Very close. and max for 135 is 3.7 while 140 is 3.5. Again very close. FOR ME ONLY I would start at 2.9 gr and do a ladder to 3.4 gr and see what the chrono says. YMMV THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO...NOT A RECOMMENDATION simply what I would do.
  9. N-320 is not considered a slow powder and you CANNOT use load data from one powder for a different powder.
  10. I got a complete slide it was years ago so do not remember the price and would not be current.
  11. I got a complete slide from CZ Custom. I had them mill it for an optic.
  12. Separate pin for sear cage.
  13. m700 yes it is a thing...I think the idea was the seating stem and bullet would had a chance to better align before full seating pressure locked the bullet into the brass...for better alignment of the bullet and brass...my guess only. Good idea....bad engineering??? I took mine out and it NOW works great.
  14. With the LnL the bolt holding the shell plate will loosen-up. This causes a lot of little problems, make sure it is tight. I use an o-ring under the bolt to keep it tight. X2 on removing the spring from the seating die. X2 on getting less variation with same headstamp brass. You don't need to sort but you get, IMHO more consistent reloads. X2 on a consistent stroke/pressure helps, this takes time to develop. Don't rush to how many you can reload in an hour rather see how good you can make you reloads every hour.
  15. Turns out it was easy, due in part to the sear cage not coming out when the safety is removed. This makes filing then checking very easy. And I love the wide safety.
  16. Mine got here yesterday, the shell plate arrives Friday and I leave for a week on Saturday.... Oh well something to look forward to when I get back.
  17. Been using CCI SRP in a CZ SP-01, Bull Shadow and S2O all with either 10# or 11# pound main spring. All have extended firing pins and reduced power FP return springs. When I chrono'ed them in several different pistols I got a SLIGHT increase in PF, less than a 0.1gr. of powder.
  18. So this is Carry Optics for SA only and a mag well, although DA/SA is allowed but no need for DA first shot. I'm I missing some thing?
  19. In several CZ's I get zero light strikes with an 11# main spring, extended FP and reduced power FP spring. I seat my primers below flush. So the question is what weight mainspring are you using?
