  1. I use a magnet on the back of a popper to activate my swinger. It lasted for years shooting 775fps icore loads until I went to open and a) knocked it off a few times (you CANNOT take it off by hand) and then it simply shattered due to the 124's going close to 1400fps.
  2. I don't like the belt clips. First shooting revolver I had no place on the belt for it and now shooting open I got the same issue! I jerryrigged an iPhone soft plastic armband with zip ties to my commander and it works like a charm.
  3. I was going to say my C-More has given me no issues but it seems a common theme.
  4. Like Production Optics "light" in IPSC. Plz.
  5. Due to our medical choices Karen and I are not allowed on an airplane nor eligible to enter the US. At the moment. (not holding out any hope for sanity)
  6. I made the mistake of Hogue with finger grooves. Trying a grip at the Hogue table without it being on a gun was a mistake. I didn’t get the grip I really liked until #3.
  7. Dean you are a very lucky man. Not just for your wife and the fact rendesivr blows out the kidneys of 50% of patients. The fact it’s even used is criminal. glad you are still with us!
  8. https://www.amazon.com/G-P-S-2215RB-Rolling-Range-Black/dp/B00BD5IC2O It wheels great on anything but fine sand. I love mine but my wife saw someone use the Dewalt hard construction cases and recently bought one of those. They are HUGE!
  9. I just snagged some of the last batch of Ginex SRP's up here. Price wasn't great but you know the next import will be higher. I didn't really need them but my horizon has now been extended 3yrs out. Things are going to get bad everywhere.
  10. I went from the modern dots to a slideride. It starbursts a lot less for me.
  11. I was the in the 15% of people that lost their sense of smell from Omicron, in fact in was the only reason I know I had the 'rona. Took about a week to come back but no long lasting effects. Dean- Glad you are still with us! I guess they didn't give you rendesivir?
  12. I'm going to suggest you try and take 2-3 tablespoons of high quality distilled fish oil per day. Tablespoons, not pills. And add theanine or simply drink green tea.
  13. Good advice! I found my support hand wasn't gripping hard enough and the 2nd shot would go low left.
  14. Forgive me if I would take some heat... the never ending winter up here is grinding the life out of me. The puddles on the building site across the the road were frozen this morning.
  15. Pretty ugly, lol. I almost split my head open 10 years back on my half rack when I tried to do something on a swiss ball and spun off, inches away from the sharp edge of the rack. I do a whole body workout 3X week with tri and quad sets. So I do get *some* cardio if I keep the rest periods short. But I get where you are coming from.
  16. I am lazy in that I don't do cardio. Have not done anything in decades. Other than the hill sprints just across the street but those hurt for weeks afterward so I stopped that. I did somewhat warm up on those. But I'm built for strength so I accept that lol. I've been injured on and off mostly when I was younger. I think it's because I'm now engaging the "core" (not a big fan of that faddish term). Whenever I do a lift I try to do it on one leg, one arm shoulder press alternate leg off the ground etc. Dumbell bench press feet off the floor. That kind of thing. I think it helps with injury prevention. Going on 50 and hit some PR's last year. All that balance work is great for stages where the last targets are beside the wall and you've got the lean over the fault line. I come in hot and fall out while letting rip. Looks great on video and I'm getting my A's. Sometimes the RO's bitch but I've got great balance from the circus tricks one leg stuff. I do need to work on incorporating the drop step this year.
  17. LOL.. The only reason is the dot is much less apt to starburst than the others. I've had trifocal lens replacement which is why the more intense the dot the more supernova I get. I only discovered how crisp the dot was as I put a slideridge on my revo for ICORE open. My scores went up in ipsc after I switched my 2011 from an RTS2. On a more off topic note I can see irons without putting a patch on my left eye after the surgery. go figure. The noblex advertises as a German made optic. hmmm https://us.noblex-e-optics.com/products/sight-g-leuchtpunktvisier
  18. IMO the squat is huge for our sport. Nothing beats the explosive power from squatting and being able to get up from a low port is a plus! Not to mention it keeps the knees and low back injury free (obviously if done properly) The advent of skinny jeans however was a total nightmare. Deadlifting was good and I managed to move decent weight but my lower back and neck got all out of proportion. Buying dress shirts with a 17.5" neck while only 5'7" is a like buying skirts. I've been lifting for 29 years. Firstly to help with my dating life and then vanity as I like looking good. I'm still vain as **** but if i stop for any longer than 2 weeks I start to feel 50 so I keep lifting to keep the machine running properly.
  19. I'm only 1 year into open and I went old school with a slideride
  20. Sortof going slightly sideways, I have a shop where I could have easily set up some machines to do my own casting. It wasn't easy to find out the actual cost of lead but based on spot prices the math was so bad I don't know how the coated bullet mfg's make any money. My math was with my own free labour and no extra utilities.
  21. The product on the shelf has it's own cost for sure. But don't forget the cost to run the business itself. Transportation, heating, power, wages, insurance. Where do you do think those are compared to just months ago? Things are a MESS. I have a customer in the electric motor biz and copper wire changes daily. I have always in my business carried a lot of inventory, mainly to reduce cross border transportation and customs fees. It's been a godsend and keeping me going. I'm starting to overstock where I can.
  22. I never found a difference between Fed regular vs magnum primers.
  23. I’m always taking my guns off and my belt a lot of the time. It hurts toward the end of the day. I never weighted my revo and open gun but they are both heavy and I’m never above 151 in the summer at 5’7”. Maybe the heavy gun helps with my lack of mass? Compared to the giants above! it might explain why I sucked at limited?
  24. Same. Especially weak hand, it took a lot of practice to get decent with a revo. Shooting a 2011 weak hand is a breeze. I don't have an issue going back and forth to be honest, other than the tendonitis flares up worse on the revo.
