  1. I think I used the red fiber like a dot so the transition to open was seamless and a lot more fun.
  2. I just had to switch to Win231 from N320 and low and behold it's a LOT cleaner. Did have to bump from 2.9gr N320 to 3.3gr of 231 only based on where the rounds hit. They were too low at 3.1gr. So no idea on chrono but the gun doesn't feel much different.
  3. I’ll go take a look, I’m heading to Rochester in a few weeks.
  4. There is a pair of those buried in a draw somewhere in our house. They were terrible
  5. I had a FW hold down die go wrong and press out 38SC primer pockets. I should have known when I had to go up to clutch 5. Dumped the die. No more issues if anyone has issues with the primer orientation sensor back off your shell plate lock nut. Found this out by accident. I always thought I had a bad wire connection in the sensor I am having power go flying if I go too fast loading 38SC (9.4gr 3n38). So i slow it down so I can hunndo check at the same speed as production.
  6. I am trying to cut back on the booze at the moment lol. I guess I’m more mechanically inclined due to the nature of my business so that helps. I did go from a 650 to a 2nd 650 with a mark7 (for processing) to a Revo. That was quite the jump! She’s finicky but working 99% at the moment. Just need to rip off 10k revolver rounds and figure out a load for the 158 plated I bought during Covid (couldn’t cross the border so no Ibej rounds). Ugh. I hate messing with new loads and the 929 is ultra fussy on ammo
  7. My issue was just like the 650, everything loosens up just as you get comfortable with the machine! moto: really? I'm in the same boat with my wife shooting but I got sick and tired of the handle. Nothing like ripping along at 1950rpm
  8. It can be. Just not when you've taken apart your Mark7 Revo for the 2nd or 3rd time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok that was a year or so ago and she purrrrrs along nicely now but man was that frustrating.
  9. PD is replacing the missing bullets but exactly. Ok I guess but a few extra for my trouble would have been nice as I’ve got to pay $5 to pick up the package from the Box address. might not bother again, I was only saving like 3c over the Toro jhp I use now.
  10. Up here HAZMAT starts @ $100 as it has to go via truck, not sure when it started but it’s recent. Just hope it doesn’t take effect south of the 49th. Seems the couriers want nothing to do with primers and powder.
  11. …..precision delta…. Do these guys not know how to ship??? Ibeji stretch wraps their boxes. PD does not. First ever order of 2 boxes 124. One box is okish (corner broken but intact) the 2nd arrives 3 weeks later repackaged by USPS in KY and only weighs 21lbs! only good outcome was Canada border agents were bored and spent 35 minutes tossing our truck coming back home from a US match yesterday. The missing projectiles kept us under the $400 24hr tax exemption which they were DETERMINED to get me for since the tossing of the truck found diddly squat. Aholes.
  12. Squirrel daddy makes hardened decapping pins.
  13. For a USPSA match short colt looks far too much like 9mm, getting your brass back is going to get sympathy even from the super comp open shooters.
  14. Yes, made of rubber. I have a weird super high grip and a lot of my support hand goes around the butt so I had them made with rubber and Pat obliged. For some reason Pat made the butt super big and they are quite heavy but I likes me some big butts…. sorry, had to go there.
  15. Slide Ride goes off after each stage.
  16. These are the final evolution of the grips I like custom made by Pat. Took 2-3 tries to get the perfect fit (meaning 2 or 3 sitting in a drawer)
  17. When I ordered my SVI Ltd gun I got a 9mm spare barrel just in case. But optics are so much fun, I went to open with a cheaper local build.
  18. Leaded comps? Shooting bare base jacketed round nose? I just get crusty powder residue from jhp’s.
  19. Given Mike won the 2018 Nat's and IRC by what, .25 of a second????? it doesn't get much closer. As for the draw, I think trying to go fast is going to result in a sub par draw. I did have some crap draws at a match last month but I had not shot or touched a gun in months. rusty....
  20. I use the brass versions of the dental tools with bore tech C4 Carbon Remover on a ti nitride comp. Works great.
  21. In the 165gr .358 in my 929 I use 2.9g N320 for 130ish pf. I found it returns to sights quicker than 2.7.-2.8gr As for loads, nothing beats 14gr of H110 in my 357 Ported Desert Eagle. BOOOOOM I just got a wack of 231/HP38 as N320 is scarce and $$$$$. Plus hazmat around here is now $120 minimum. So it's got to be local stores. 3N38 is completely gone from North America it seems. I have 10 2kg tubs but with my wife and I shooting 9.6gr....maybe 2 yrs or less.... or more if I shoot more revo.
  22. While I like shooting revo, nothing beats the blast and noise of 9.6g of 3N38 in super comp. I'm currently in a quandary as to what to mainly work on this year. I was going to go full out and go after the top A open shooters up here. But now there are a bunch of revo match's we plan on attending...argggg.
