  1. All our end caps are gone. We did a classs with MWP and the first thing he told us to do was ditch em. Our guns look like the above ^^^^^
  2. It was caused by the implants. My wife had it done and several top shooters up here had it done too. I didn't really need it was I just starting to get presbyopia but why wait until it got bad? https://www.myalcon.com/ca/en/panoptix/ It's been 9 months and supposedly the startbursting/haloing goes away in a year(?) but the more intense the light source the more halo's I get. Nice not having to wear contact lenses and for everything but gunsmithing I don't need glasses. Supposedly the brain learns to see "past" the halo's at some point? I can live with it. Oddly it seems I can now see the front sight without having to cover my left eye like I did when I was shooting irons before the surgery. But I have not actually tried shooting irons at all and the MD wouldn't let me shoot both my revo's on the same squad this Sat past. Another observation is that all those top shooters who had the surgery all shoot dots. The old eyeballs can't transition to the front sight from the target like when we were younger...lol No matter what you do.
  3. Having shot both the RTS2 and slideride the slideride is definitely better but maybe just for me? I had my eyeball lenses replaced so the slideride does not starburst like the micro dots.
  4. Is that true about the FED magnum primers? In 2019 they were $2/case cheaper and we used a lot of them with no issues.
  5. I was going to shoot irons this weekend but wimped out for the ipsc match. It's been a year exactly since I started with the dot. I'll see if they let me shoot both my guns at the ICORE match later in the day. Curious.
  6. Add a slideride and it’s heavy, I get that, but I like a heavy gun. Maybe lightened for SC but we don’t do that up here. That’s where I’m coming from.
  7. Why? Of all the upgrades why lighten it up?
  8. The heavens opened and the gods smiled on me when I shot my wife’s CO gun at a match 1 year ago (almost to the day). I couldn’t get the grin of my face, it felt like cheating compared to irons. Up to them I was shooting revo irons. My transition to the dot was seamless and went straight to open. Fun fun fun. I simply don’t have the patience for irons and probably used the front fiber like a dot? At least that’s my theory. I will try revo irons again this weekend (last outdoor match of ‘21) or maybe open minor with my open revo (got an icore match later in the day). I’m not going through the effort of trying to keep my open 2011 warm enough to run outside again in below freezing temperatures.
  9. I turn mine down low to keep it from starbursting like a supernova. I had tri focal lense replacement and I have gone to a slideride. I started ipsc open this year and even put a dot on my revolver (for ICORE). First icore match of 2021 wasn’t until September and it clicked. The slideride dot at full blast in full sun was SHARP. So I put them on both my open guns (was using rts2’s) and took the RTS2’s and just put them on my P320 legions. Mainly for outdoor winter practice, which turns out was good idea as my open gun hates the cold. The 2 matches this sat were an exercise in keeping the gun and mags warm.
  10. I copied other shooters early on by using a magnet at the back of the belt with a stripper mag (aka the Barney mag in USA speak). problem solved. But you could go classy and use your teeth to Carry the extra round (inside joke alert)
  11. Couple of years. Powder, brass and projectiles aren’t an issue. As for primers stock was available up here until early this year. Given what I was seeing in the US I was still buying. I have not seen much for sale lately at all. What I’ve been told (and know of 1 dealer) is that CDN stock was being re-sold back into the US and really pissing off Vista. So there is a little that pops up but it’s 40% more than last year.
  12. https://www.amazon.com/Bone-Running-Armband-Smartphone-9-8-15-7/dp/B07FCJ43QT/ref=sr_1_25?crid=38TSLDKOABURU&keywords=phone%2Barm%2Bbands%2Bfor%2Brunning&qid=1637790049&sprefix=Phone%2Barm%2Caps%2C285&sr=8-25&th=1 this with some zip ties works great. Totally getto but I’ve never liked the belt holders. No real estate with revo or open rigs.
  13. I add more grip work in the off season. When I’m shooting 2-3x week with daily dry fire I’m going to get wicked tendonitis if I add grip work. To note I train weights 3x week all the time. ironmind.com has neat tools. I have the CoC grippers but never use them.
  14. 2-3, probably. My wife is now an open open shooter. She shot her open 929 in ipsc for a few years until very recently. She tried my open 2011 baster and that was it. She got one of her own. I only shot 1 icore match this year and it's definitely a game where the dot is huge!
  15. Never said I didn’t like it, just thought since you had a custom grip made why not get some added pizzaz?
  16. Years back I think we emailed Houge too and it went nowhere, then we went to the 2018 IRC and now we have 8 custom grips I think…. Maybe 9? The first few didn’t fit my hand /grip and had to go through a few interations to figure out what worked best. Mat- why no logo on the grip? Dull boy duuulllllll. Lol
  17. Lol. I have a match gun being built with this grip. My practice guns have the standard rectangles, I don’t callous much.
  18. I’ve modified a few of these with a Dremel sanding bit then finish with a buffing bit with a jewellers red paste. i had Pat make me a few with the butt made out of rubber, I have an odd grip and the rubber works great for my support hand grip.
  19. Back to the original post, I crimp the living £##£ out of the finished case. I do leave an indent with the FCD but 50k+ rounds made and zero issues.
  20. I found the UniqueTek funnel got rid of a)sticking and b) shaving the odd coated bullet. I got the one for .358 in a 9mm case.
  21. Politics. What was the exact reason anyway? I see something about submitting stages but give me a break, it’s ICORE not an IPSC L3.
  22. Ibeji makes a 165gr .357 or .358. I've thankfully a decent supply left that will last a while as I’m not shooting revo much. Funny how the skills don’t deteriorate much. Did really well at a match last weekend.
  23. It won’t be hard to sell the 750. I went from a 650 to a 2nd automated 650 (decap & size only) then a Revolution.
  24. Wife and I did a 2 day private course and loved it. Went back last year and did a 3 day private course and loved it. We could fly into the USA, just not drive. Now with the new restrictions and ammo issues down your way we won’t be making it down any time soon. (bummer) downtown Newark OH is beautiful and a private 2 or 3 person only class is money WELL spent
  25. Not to beat a dead horse but I think TK on their moon clip size page (38SPCL/357) mentions that there isn’t really a Sami spec for the groove or maybe the tolerances are too high?
