  1. What companies do you use to provide the coverage for the program that you designed?
  2. Here's a good forum that covers California gun laws: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/index.php
  3. Go here for all the California gun info you can stand! http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/index.php
  4. This sport is supposed to be fun; it's not fun when targets are set to deliberately invite a DQ and it doesn't contribute to greater safety. In a real life confrontation the 180 rule doesn't apply.
  5. " "Briley Manufacturing offers long forcing cone gunsmithing. Need Long Forcing Cones? We have full time gunsmiths ready to assist you. Long forcing cones can improve your shot pattern. How far can we lengthen your forcing cone? That depends on your shotgun. Each is unique but a better pattern is almost always certain." It defies imagination that the multimillion dollar companies that manufacture expensive shotguns would not optimize the forcing cones, together with their barrels and chokes, to achieve the best possible pattern. If that is true, then fooling around with the forcing cone is more likely to degrade overall performance than improve it. As to the recoil issue, the shot passes through the few inches of the forcing cone in a tiny fraction of a second. How could this "possible" micro second of difference translate into actual felt recoil that a human could detect? Does Briley know more than Beretta? Winchester? Remington? Perazzi? Fabbri? Purdey? With all the knowledge provided by years of research possessed by these manufacturers it is doubtful that the forcing cone modification provides any net benefit and likely that it is associated with negative offsetting issues.
  6. Hey Sarge, sombody must have found a way to suspend the laws of physics!
  7. Could you be more specific in terms of what kind of help you are seeking?
  8. I would be interested to know the scientific explanation for breaking the rifle in the way that is described. What metallurgical changes take place? What happens if you don't use the JP Bore Cleaner product, is there a disintegration of the rifles? Does the stock fall off? There must be a published study on this somewhere, right? It couldn't be a scheme to sell more JP Bore Cleaner or maybe facilitate bonding with the rifle.
  9. I have 14 mags, the majority are MBX that I bought new, the others are mixed mags that came with guns. Never, ever a problem with the MBX mags, they work perfectly without any tweaking in my CK's and Infinities.
  10. A great solution to a lot of problems. Such a big improvement over the original mounting setup on the case feeder. It's nice when someone develops a simple solution to a complicated problem.
  11. Guns with the original box and paperwork appeal more to buyers than guns without those items.
  12. 1. I have owned Brownings for years and have never heard of the factory refinishing them for free. 2. Buying a shotgun that has a small wobble when the action is open is a bad idea. 3. Black corrosion on nickel is not minor. $2500 for the pair is.....well ......, do some more shopping. There are lots of good guns for sale out there, check gunbroker.com or gunsinternational.com, Galazon, or Barnet.
  13. In this case it was not a hack. Someone at one of the vendors obtained the credit card number and name but not the cv number so the fraudulent use was identified by the bank very quickly but the charges still hit my account and it was necessary to close the account.
  14. I have had credit cards for many years and never had a problem until I started buying reloading and gun stuff online six weeks ago and my credit card was used for 12 fraudulent transactions. All the transactions were promptly cancelled, my card was closed out and I have a new card. It is suspicious that so many people here have mentioned that their cards were "hacked"; makes me suspect one of the reloading/gun supply vendors has someone who is simply stealing the card numbers.
  15. In the early days of Steel Challenge many wore cross draw holsters so there was some sweeping going on.
  16. Bitcoin is one of several (soon to be many) types of "currency" using a "blockchain". The price of Bitcoins (BTC) has gone from someplace around $25 to, now, over $9,000 but by mid December it will probably be far less than it is today because on December 11, futures contracts will be traded on the CME which will allow people to sell BTC "short". The blockchain technology looks to be quite secure and some of the securities clearing firms are looking into using blockchain. Bitcoin, is another matter entirely, just last week an employee at a company using bitcoin as currency, deleted a file and approximately $300,000 was lost forever so blockchain based technology is secure until someone makes a mistake.
  17. Ratchet = Lots of Problems If you pull it off be very careful of dropping a double load of powder.
  18. I recently got a 1050 and after using it a few times and checking out some of the info on the Internet I am ordering a Fast and Friendly shell plate: http://fastandfriendlybrass.com/shop/category.aspx/1050-shell-plates/17/ . and a Shellplate Bearing Kit: https://lvl10i.com/products/dillon-1050-shellplate-bearing-kit. There are some videos on both of these items on youtube.com and if you do a search you will find hundreds of videos on the 1050 and its accessories and operation. This one on step by step disassembly is really good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f-CToyfidY Enjoy your 1050!
  19. Yes, "Worth the wait!" Nothing else is close and they are worth the premium $.
  20. Ha! Thanks for the reminder!
