  1. Wow, that's a pretty cool idea. Affordable too. May need to rearrange my bench and grab one and hook it up to my casefeeder for swaging and push-through sizing ops
  2. I had issues similar to that but it was related to the tension of the little gate thingy that holds the case in position 2. You mentioned you have aligned everything with the alignment tool, but it may be worth changing the tension on the gate to see if your issues go away. Is it crimped brass?
  3. I used 4.1gr of N320 with 200gr Blues at 1.150" in a 5" Rock Island. It came in at ~163 PF on my crappy chrono but the guy i bought the gun from said he used 4.0 grains with Blues at that same length and made > 165 PF on other chronos, so IDK. I switched to 180gr.
  4. Wow, nice. I brought my Legion in a week ago (whole gun) and haven't heard back from them yet.
  5. You could be right, it's hard to tell. I tried to compare a side shot of my R3 to the one on their site. It's not perfect, I had to flip my image because it was taken from the other side (only one I had saved on my phone and my gun is back at Sig right now) and it's not perfectly flat so there's some perspective introduced.
  6. The optic still gets burnt from the power, but the glass doesn't get obscured too badly. I sent mine back for a new barrel regardless. This was 120 rounds
  7. I didn't even think about that, it makes sense. I have a regular X5 too but it has a non LCI barrel.
  8. I dropped my Legion off at the Pro Shop yesterday to get the barrel swapped. The guy working mentioned his regular X5 had the LCI barrel and that he didn't have any problems with it getting on the optic. I have a Romeo 3 on a Springer plate on my Legion and the powder burns on the optic body were definitely noticeable after the first mag or two. The glass wasn't that bad though.
  9. I own several 320s and basically the only aftermarket grip I'd be interested in is a full size one that allowed the use of an optic mount to build an Open 320. I don't dislike anything about the Legion grip ergos, I just want something with a stiff dust cover. I guess if I'm being picky, making it work with STI magwells would be cool.
  10. The grip tape Springer sells has the Sig logo cut out. I haven't had any problems with it. https://shop.springerprecision.com/Springer-Precision-Sig-P320-X5-Grip-Tape-Solid-Wrap-SP5019.htm
  11. My guess is he hasn't sent the 40 slide back in for the voluntary upgrade yet I have a 40 top end with Dawson sights that I've shot with the TXG grip and magwell. I haven't shot a match with it, but it's just shy of 46oz with a 14rd mag + Springer extension. Only holds 18rd with Grams internals unfortunately. Many people on here can fit 19 though. It handles pretty well though, the beavertail and ability to get high on the grip plus the weight helps a lot compared to a standard non x-grip full size 40.

You can buy the springs by themselves from Osage (out of stock), or Shooter's Connection used to have them too
  13. I cleaned mine for the first time yesterday because it rained all match and the gun was soaked. About 2500 rounds through it. I didn't even have to use any solvents, everything just wiped clean quickly with paper towels and q tips. Sig has their P320 Parts Picker website for small parts: https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-parts-picker/ ; I don't think anything in the X5 is unique (besides the trigger and RSA). MGW also sells small parts: https://www.midwestgunworks.com/sig-sauer-p320/parts.html

I need to pop in to the pro shop and see if they can handle the shipping (a whole one town over) to get my LCI barrel swapped. Logistically it would be so easy but I feel like they're gonna tell me to pound sand and basically drive further to a Fed Ex hub to ship it than it would be to go right to the Newington or Exeter facility lol.
  15. How much does the Bar Sto barrel weigh? They list it at 24oz on the website which doesn't make any sense.
  16. I actually shot a match this summer where Jarrod from PMM was using one of those. Looked like a fun gun. I chatted with him very briefly about it and he said it was a blast to shoot, and he puts a ton of rounds through it.It looked like it shot nice and flat (not sure which type of ammo, probably factory 124gr FMJ?).
  17. I slugged my regular X5 and Legion barrels, and got 0.35525" max on the X5 and 0.35585" max on the Legion, using a +/- 0.00005" micrometer at work. I've shot Blue Bullets and Brazos (sized to 0.356") through the X5 without issue, and haven't shot the Legion yet. I need to order more bullets soon, but I'll be able to run a handful of what I have loaded through the Legion first in a couple weeks to test first hand. Before I get to the range; guys that have done this experiment before, -- would you expect any issues in the Legion with the 0.356" sized bullets? Is there any downside or advantage to running 0.357" sized bullets in my X5, given that bore diameter? I've always just ordered the standard option with bullets (I've never slugged a barrel before) but I was reading the rule of thumb is to have the lead bullet be 0.001-0.002 over the bore diameter. I assume I'll be fine running both .356 or .357 in either gun, just wanted to hear opinions from others that have similar data points.
  18. Pioneer Sportsmen is a little over an hour north in Dunbarton NH, they have excellent IDPA and USPSA programs.
  19. Just wondering if there was any resolution on this -- do standard 1911 springs (like Wolff) work in the Legion, even though the springs that ship with the Legion are longer? I see Sig has replacement springs available now -- I was just curious.
  20. I asked in the ETS industry forum on arf, and ETS said the 21rd ones just fit in the mag gauge in stock trim. So they'd probably need a very thin Glock basepad to work. They said the 17 and 15rd ones work with X-Frames They also said the Sig mags tend to not drop free when they are partially loaded, but do when empty.

I made an 80% FCU and thought I botched it when I dry fired the first time because that was the first 320 I noticed the slide movement on haha. But once a mag is inserted it looks the same as any other.
  22. Yeah in my case it isn't the gun holding me back. I'm a B/C shooter. And I shoot Limited so infrequently since switching to CO, that being able to just swap the upper and have everything else be consistent is nice.
  23. Yep. And the full size slides fit into the X5 holsters just fine. I have two different belts set up with an RHT for each but there is no need for this other than me liking to buy gear
  24. Ah, interesting. I was denting rounds trying to get 18 in with my Lula before changing to the Grams follower/spring. I'll load/unload them to 19 a bunch and see if it seems like I can squeak 20 in.
