  1. After paying attention to numbness in my right hand / fingers for several months, I had it checked. I had moderate carpal tunnel according to the neurologist. I scheduled the surgery to be after my September 3 gun match (FNH). About 30 minutes in the O.R. for the surgeon, 4 weeks out of work, which was before snow removal time in New England. I was given some exercises by the doctor, didn't go to P.T. because I didn't abuse it. My personal experience was positive, and I wouldn't hesitate to go through it again if needed. My incision can't be seen, and I know where it was. Put it off for too long, then your hand gets messed up far more than taking care of it early. Think of it as preventative maintenance.
  2. A smooth mill file to draw file the raised parts, the 1" abrasive cloth in probably 220 grit to "shoe shine the rest smooth.
  3. I've always used a small adjustable wrench to unscrew shotgun front sights.
  4. Can't you run it through the Valkyrie sizing die, then fire form it in the proper chamber? That's what I've done with Ackley Improved rounds.
  5. If it doesn't say Plus, it isn't.
  6. Dean, Will slugs be needed for the match? I know bring about 200 rifle, pistol and shot. Just wanted to know how many slugs.
  7. It is supposed to be Invector, not Invector Plus. The barrel should be marked as to type.
  8. Nordic makes parts for many in the industry, their machining is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of their rifles especially at the price you are quoting. I have a Nordic 18" barrel in one of my AR's and it is sub MOA with the 1-4X Meopta with 25.5 of H335 using Nosler 55 Ballistic Tip bullets.
  9. A lot of spacers on the Ace stock. I made a 1" thick butt to add to my Firebird stock.
  10. Brian, The diagram now shows the slug targets at 35 and 60 yards, plus or minus.
  11. There may be some overlap if you only shoot in N.H. You can shoot in Maine too, but, depending on your location, it will be more than 90 minutes drive.
  12. The OP was looking for non-restricted states to shoot in. Vermont is good for now, but, look at it's two senators, and tell me that the general population hasn't become left leaning.
  13. Welcome to New England! In New Hampshire, there are 4 clubs running USPSA matches. Piscataqua, which is near Portsmouth, Chester, Rod and Gun, I think, Pelham Fish and Game, and Pioneer which is close to Concord. Not all the clubs post on the USPSA sight. Some post on the Area 7 group on Facebook. I think Chester only has it on the club calendar, or on www.northeastshooters.com
  14. They most likely won't stabilize without a 6 1/2" twist.
  15. I never attend one of Denise and JJ's matches without a sling for rifle and shotgun.
  16. The area around the loading port is part of the trigger housing. You can't hack into it like the aluminum receiver semi autos. The port is for 3 1/2" shells and doesn't need a lot of work.
