    C-More

It acts kind of like a lenshade on a camera lens..it keeps extranoues light from the diode in an attempt to keep the light source clean ( light wise) and thus a brighter dot with cleaner edges..
  2. Julien.. very nice looking...is it in 38 super??? are you going to play with any barrel porting or leave it 5" barrel with the comp?? again..very nice...have fun on the range..

    C-More

Have not had that problem....have had zero change when changing dot modules..so maybe the module is working itself loose...
  4. Ken..looks like a good one to putting together skills... look forward to seeing it...
  5. profec291 thanks for checking...hopefully see you there... what is the best, easiest so I don't get lost, way from Henderson to the range?? oh..anyone know how long that might take to get there...
  6. Hi Ron... It will be good to have you around down here next year.... The course designers here are great at setting stages with multiple solutions...and challenge the skills of you as a shooter...definitely one of the challenges is to get a plan, set the plan in your mind and execute..all the while when your buddies are shooting different plans, changing their plans and on and on.. Ken..you guys did a great job on the match..and the setup day was a killer... at the State match..we took two days to set up the 10 or so stages...to not try and kill each other in the heat...
  7. What happened...what did it do or not do???? how's the gun otherwise?????
  8. Ron... how did that stack up??? I decided to try and shoot open again and see where I get...kind of fun and experience seeing that dot again... This was my first match with the dot gun..and I felt pretty conservative..but pretty comfortable.. interesting classifier..made me feel for the revolver shooter.. anyway..shot this in 8.01 seconds dropped 3 points..
  9. Did some searching and True Blue looks like a good powder for 9mm Major. has anyone tried True Blue or Silohette in 38 super or WIN 9x23?? what did you find as load data?? Was wondering how differently they performed with the case capacity difference.. thanks
  10. Hi Ivan.. sent you an email about maybe getting some Viht powder. thanks
  11. The new Ghost work well with a single stack frame..there are some nylon screws in the body of the holster that when adjust will hold the gun without rocking and really secure...
  12. Going with the family to Las Vegas/Henderson are there any matches going on the between Oct 14 Thurs and the following thursday.. how about gun shops..or ranges..anything fun to go see and do..thanks..

    New Blaster

Paul...that is a great looking blaster... looking forward to your experience with it.. is it a straight comp..or are there barrel ports??? what will your load be?? very cool
  14. very cool Huening used to make the best trigger and hammer for these guns.. Bruce did a nice job with all the weld work..I remember watching my gunsmith build mine..the beavertail, the triggerguard and the magwell were all heavily worked areas.. Erik...very cool gun...
  15. thanks Monster..I sent Dave and email..
  16. got it..PM me your email..and I will send it..
  17. Just got hold of a SV carbon fiber mount for my SV gun... noticed there sure are lot of allen head screws in it to hold it together..anyone have any problems with them staying together..or would I be better off tracking down an Allchin mount for my C-More???
  18. If you need a USB card reader..let me know..I got a few around..
  19. Makes sense..since it would probably reinforce the mistakes made... What a great lesson though in the mental game...not to dwell on the mistakes..and beat yourself up on them..it just reinforces them..like telling yourself..don't hit the noshoot or don't miss...all your doing is telling yourself to do those things.. when you should be accentuating the positives...call your shots, trust yourself.. wow...good stuff...thanks steve for taking the time and then sharing with all of us..
  20. Firewire good.... another good piece of software to have is Image Rescue.. great for recovering information on disks...comes free on some Lexar cards as well as a small jumpshot USB reader.. if you need one..let me know..think we have bunch taking up space someplace..
  21. Erik when we were OS9..if you plug either a camera or a USB reader in the machine..it would mount the disk..from there you would just need to transfer the files over to your hard drive..no software needed for that ... Two pieces of software we used for initial editing and caption writing are Fotostation and Photo Mechanic..we have since gravitated to Photo Mechanic...it offers auto rotation, IPTC captioning, a spell checker and slide show.. hope that helps...

  23. EricW.. I'll throw in late here...like Nik..I am in a newsroom..my experience in a newsroom is that most people don't know a lot about anything..they, at best, might know a little about everything.. much gets lost because they don't understand, pressure from editors to simplify information and to keep stories short.. there are definitely those out there with agendas..and those are the ones that must be found and called upon for the lies and mis-truths.. but for the most part..they are kids, with no life experience and no knowledge.. you should see the blank stares when I get on a soap box and explain the difference between semi-auto and full auto, magazine and clip, rifle and shotgun.. I try and tell them and my staff..you may do great things in the world..but it is all about details..it's all in the details..
