Got my refund today

Short of a crack in the barrel or bad/dirty ammo I can't think of how this could happen. I would love to hear a good theory since I don't have one. Good luck. And yes I have an apex gunsmith fit barrel in my 9 pro. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

So the same ammo in a stock barrel doesnt fog the optic but it does with the apex?

TG might make it but I'm not a fan of that powder, gun gets way to hot compared to every other powder I've used.

Please explain how the apex barrel fogged the optic

For minor 40 clays is my go to powder 4gr with a 140gr bayou was my favorite but 3.5 under a 155gr works you need a fast powder to make 40 work at low velocities With WST I could not get my pistols to run reliably until I was well over 1000fps, my 140gr clays load runs at 975fps in a 5" barrel and runs at 27,000 psi (I used to have access to a real pressure lab so that's not a guess) you could also try VV310 but I've never used it, I'm too cheap to get hooked on VV powder

No my ALG triggers are in 223 guns. I'm running JP hammers and triggers in my 9mm ar and my match gun in 223. I do use the red hammer spring for all my JP triggers.

I have several ALG triggers that are working great, I would guess you got a Lemon, I'd call ALG and see if they will make this right. I've also been running a full JP trigger group in my 9mm ar (although I do use the red hammer spring). I have a little over 2k rounds through it so far, only malfunctions I had were when I tried to use the mag as a monopod.

Shot on Saturday and this was a great match. Stages were top notch and the match was well run. The only complaints I have are it was hot and I need to get a cart to haul all my gear (weather and my fault nothing to blame on match or staff). Thanks to Howard and the match staff you guys did an outstanding job, looking forward to Howard doing it again at FNH.

My Apex gunsmith fix barrel would not take my bayou 135s unless they were loaded under 1.100. 30 seconds with a throating reamer and I can load to 1.150 (my normal load). A throat reamer is $55 from brownells.

Does anyone know who's barrels apex is using

I have two ALG triggers that I really like. The reset over travel and weight are not as good as my JP trigger but I have not found anything that can match them for price.

I know about the G&R barrels. I'm not going that route. Do you know who apex is getting their barrels from?

I think I gave up on this coming out over a year ago after a very long wait. It was supposed to be a bar sto barrel that was over sized and could be fit to your gun. Bar sto released a barrel but the reviews I've read were not glowing and it was not cheap. I'd love to have a gun smith fit barrel for my M&Ps but as far as I know it is not an option. I hope this is not another drop in barrel.

I wish you luck with getting the holster. I started making my own holsters so I have some plans drawn up but first I need my buddy to machine my weight. I ran a limited M&P for several years and thought I held it pretty flat until I got to watch some good video of myself. I'm going to try and find the sweat spot as far as weight goes so this will be a process and several holsters as I remove weight.

Over this winter I'm making a custom one for my M&P I believe this has real potential.
