  2. Did you align ream the comp to the barrel? That needs to be done.
  3. Hopefully you can see the wire in these two pictures, I'd take some new ones, but I just had bypass surgery last week and am not moving very well at the moment. It will probably be a week or so before I attempt to go out to the shop. Good luck, sometimes these problems can be a bitch.
  4. Every time I experience this it turns out to be the ejector wire for station 5 has walked up the center bolt. I finally fixed it by putting a "dogleg" bend in the middle of it. What happens is that the wire holds tension on the plastic case inserter and when the inserter withdraws from position 1, it pulls the case back just enough not to line up with the die. Took a while to figure it out (and a number of guess fix parts from Dillon)
  5. Speed shooters specialties make a brass one but they've been out of stock like forever.
  6. Charlie, I got your book a few weeks ago and started reading it. I had a detour earlier this week. I had a Quadruple bypass done. Hopefully this will help my shooting.
  7. Welcome from the other side of Seattle. You heard correctly I'm presuming you're shooting in Puyallup?
  8. Like the guy who wants an overlay to decide if it's an Bravo or a Charlie. (I just give him the "look" and give him the Bravo (SMH )
  9. I've come to the same conclusion, maybe it's the eraser "Pixie dust" that does make it feel harsher.
  10. Good move, Amazon sucks all the profit. How do you think Bezos became the world's richest man?
  11. I went through the same process a year ago. Tried without pins and never went back. The inside of the cases aren't shiny but they are clean.

  12. Carhartt makes a shorter vest, meant to be a liner for their heavier coats. I've used it for a number of years and it works great. The rear is longer like a trucker or biker vest, but I shoot open so I don't have any mag carriers back there. The sides and front are short enough to draw mags (and gun) from their holders. Look for a store that sells work clothes (that's where I bought mine) Here's the one I have, but you're better off getting one at a store, that way you can be sure to get the size that will clear your belt. https://www.amazon.com/Carhartt-Sherpa-Sandstone-Rugged-Gravel/dp/B00ISVBIKE/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1520283493&sr=8-12&keywords=carhartt+vests+for+men
  13. Call Dillon and ask them, they will usually join in these threads but it might take a day or two. A quick call to them will probably get an immediate answer. I've heard of the primer ram coming loose, but I've never done that (in 200 K rounds) but I've never done decap only.
  14. We have the current revolver world champion in our neighborhood (Michael Poggie), and a few more high ranking revolver shooters around here, but revolver is the smallest of the divisions, at local matches we will get one, maybe two shooters. When I shoot revolver, I have to cock the hammer for every shot (I'm an Open shooter) My recommendation is to find a training class somewhere. Probably worth combining the training trip with a family vacation. Do a Google search on "competition revolver shooting".
  15. None of my STI's have that Korean inscription, maybe they're the Pacific region distributor and they roll stamp the frames for advertising. Or Foreign STI's are machined in Korea.
  16. A while back my hands started hurting when shooting, I bought some "Copper Hands" (as seen on TV) just to see. I don't think the copper does anything, but they are compression gloves (minus the fingertips) so I've been using them for a couple of years now. They seem to help (that, or I'm a hypochondriac), either way, my hands feel better. You can get them at Walgreens for cheaper than the TV ad.
  17. I shoot a Trubor and had this problem when I first got it (couple of years ago) They would all fire the second time through, I had loaded around 100K rounds on my 650 before that so I was kinda mystified. Then I changed my loading procedure, when seating the primers, I do a "double tap" on the handle (pushing it forward twice). I have not had a light strike since then. The press was clean so I imagine that I was either getting lazy (or old, or both) and occasionally not pushing the handle all the way. Try doing this for a while and if your light strikes go away, good deal. If not, punt.
  18. The Taran Tactical's are easier to clean. (important feature if you have to drop your mags in the sand, mud, or dirt). The Taylor Freelance and the Springer's require a tool (screwdriver or hex key) to remove the base. The TT just has a pin that you can push one way and remove the baseplate. No tools to carry with (or lose). I have used all 3 when I was shooting a M&P, I've since changed platforms and use MBX's in my 2011.
  19. All I get is that they are working on that. I'd give them a call and see what to do. As far as I can tell, there is no way to verify a persons RO status at the present time.
  20. Same here. I can't remember my last ammo failure. It's been years.
  21. I've used a 7.5 DP since they first came out. I kinda liked it because if I wanted accuracy on long shots, I used the tip of the triangle, and for fast close targets, I just overlay the whole triangle over the target. I've since switched platforms to a 6MOA C-more and like it better, maybe my abilities have changed.
  22. People holes? Something new (sorry, couldn't resist, I know what you meant). You will need to tune the load to your gun, in one of my guns I get 172 PF with 6.8 WAC, and the same round in another gun chronoed at 164 (glad I found that out before a major), I had to bump the load to 7.0-7.1 to stay at 172 which is where I prefer to be. Not sure of the why, but it's always wise to chrono.
  23. I plan my reloads with a few rounds to spare, then I count my makeup shots, when I uses up my extras, I reload at my "B" plan. (I shoot Open, so I have trouble counting that high during a stage)
  24. Someone was being kind, or didn't know the rules. One of the things I advise production shooters to do is to not load 11 rounds into a start mag for just the reason described. It's just one more thing to remember (especially when you're new and nervous already). Use a "Barney" mag. I remember telling this to a number of new shooters, having them tell me that it won't happen to them, just to watch them do it within the next 2 weeks. Tough lesson to learn.
  25. I've seen this before, but not on a Glock (never even have had one apart). In this instance the culprit was an improper sear interface. The angle was wrong and the sear wouldn't catch on a normal firing cycle, but would catch at the slower hand racking cycle. Just a thought, your description reminded me of that time when I was going nuts trying to figure it out. Good luck
