Kevin, I think HQ made it a race when they put a weight limit on it instead of "production as is, with a dot on the slide." How did they make something that should have been that simple, so complicated?

It's heavier, of course, & the weight feels more out toward the muzzle, which I think aids in controlling muzzle flip. I think it's worth the expense.

That is what I'm running on my new open build. It's an 8moa dot module, aluminum click switch, with a Cheely mount. The glass housing is as down onto the slide as it can possibly be without touching. I have had zero issues with it, holds zero perfectly. I like that I don't have to be as cautious when I tighten down the set screws, afraid to crack the housing. Is your zero issue a bad sight, bad sight to mount, or bad mount to frame? Or it could be a combo of those. Make sure all the screws are tight, and check the body for cracks. Also, check the top grip screws to be tight. If the frame is loose in the grip, it will wander. For some reason I can't put the link into this thread, but if you check the open gun picture thread in the Gallery, my gun is post #1107 & 1109.

The 9mm/22TCM is a different animal than the Pro Match 40. My Pro Match is very tight. I'm using the original mag with a Dawson base, Para factory mags with Dawson bases, and STI & SV mags with Dawson bases. I get 21 & 20 rounds, respectively.

I put tek loks on all my gear, & use a CR speed belt. Belt is rigid enough to support the weight of 3 gun gear, & tek loks are versatile for moving things around.

I like Dawson 9mm mags. If you buy Metalform mags & add the Dawson basepad, it's the same. Might as well get them done at the start. I had a Wilson ETM, and it was tight with 10 in it.

I glued the spacer in like above, but just loaded it up full & let it sit to let the silicone set up. A 170 with Grams 13 coil guts & Dawson +1 basepad gives me 29 reloadable. 100% & no tuning. Same set up in 2 140's gives me 23. I could fiddle with them for one more round, but I'll take 100% reliability.

I'm using 8.1 HS6 under a Precision Delta 124 JHP. 171PF in a 5.4" KKM 9mm major. 1.15" OAL. No holes in the barrel.

At the 08 match I was so cold I was buying AMU sweatshirts for souvenirs to bring home & ended up wearing them. The 10 match was cold & windy the whole match. Still preferred that to hot summer weather.

Dying battery? When's the last time you changed the battery? Is the switch notcibly "turned down" from it's starting position? I've noticed some of my Cmores' switches are harder to turn than others. Maybe the re-body changed the tension on your switches.

So, don't make non-refundable hotel reservations. Wish someone would communicate some of these details, from AMU.

My ADM Scout X is 2 1/4" between the rings. But, the rear ring is way forward. It sits right above the last slots on the upper, allowing the scope to be set way out front.

I did the same as ac, except I used a Rock River Arms Scout rail & Warne medium height rings. Downside is it's heavier than a Larue or ADM all-aluminum mount and was not return to zero. But it was very solid & held zero without issue. It's on my 22 upper now. I found the same issue as the OP with the Aero SPR. just wanted a tad more ER. I got an ADM Scout X with one throw lever. It has the extra ER I was looking for. I'll measure the distance between the rings this evening.

I got the same message, & my card was also charged. My brother & I are coming from Ohio, & want to shoot together. I've sent two emails requesting squading together, & gotten nothing.

Yeah, they wanted to know what calibers and how much. My carry gun then was a 2" j frame, so when I declared that (unloaded of course) I declared 5 rounds of 38 special. Has anyone gotten a response to emails or questions?

I filled those forms out ahead of time in 2010, & they made me fill them out all over again at the gate. Just make sure you have all your serial numbers & ammo totals for each gun.

ADM Scout extended. I really like the Aero SPR, but need just a bit more eye relief. I think your glass and where you cheek the rifle will dictate what mount you need. All the mounts mentioned are great choices.

I sent an email to the address listed in the congratulation email I received for a squading request. Will those requests be fulfilled?

Looked today, & Powder Valley had a good selection of Zero bullets in stock. Lots of powder & primers too. Except 320 & Clays, not in stock.

My message said I was registered but not yet approved to shoot the match, whatever that means. If my card gets hit but I'm not in the match, that's screwed up. Hell, I'm still waiting for my silver coin from the 2010 match.

I hit register at 2100. Guess we'll see. I didn't see anything with Linda Chico's name on it so that makes me nervous. If you want your match admin to be run correctly, everyone knows you call Linda.

I checked that I have no interest in shooting CO, because I just had a sweet open gun built. But I'm curious, do clubs HAVE to offer it as an available division during the provisional period? It could really distort the true interest if MD don't offer it.

Jake, will the match count as a classifier?

I shot one of my best matches ever Saturday. Ended up with 81 A's, 23 C's, 3 D's... and 1 mike. Finished 2nd overall, 92%, beat some really good shooters, my new open gun ran like a sewing machine. For the match, the one mike would not have made a difference in the final score. But it would have been nice. I just realized this same post could have fit in "Things I Love". Looking forward to the Indiana 400 even more.
