This the 17rd. Mecgar tube with Taylor Freelance extension. The extension is retained with a screw that needed to be trimmed down a couple threads or it touches the inside of the magwell, or you can relieve the inside of the mag well.

Have you tried the Surefire plugs with the baffle that you can open and close? I'll try to find a link, but Google the Surefire ear plugs, I'm sure it'll come up. I noticed the same thing with my Sordin's, they are a little loud in an indoor range compared to my old Pro Ears. The foamies are really the easiest solution, you just have to get used to it.

How are Prodigy fire control parts different from regular 1911/2011 parts?

Springer is the only one I am aware of. They show 2 versions, one IDPA, the other open/limited USPSA style. If you have grips you really like, it may be the best option. No one has said what extended basepads are compatible with it though.

I have 6 Grams kits, and 6 TF Signature base pads. Using Mecgar 17rd. tubes, I get 23 in every one, and every one feeds 100%. No need to do anything else. Like in open mags, you can chase 30 or 31 in a big stick, or get to 29 easily and it works every time. Pay your money, take your chances.

Palmetto has an exclusive Holosun, the 407A. The body and lens is the same as the 407/507C, except it doesn't have the solar panels on top. The dot is a 3moa in red. It sells out quickly, but when they have them they are $179. I put one on a co-worker's gun, and compared it to my 407C-GR. Dot is bright enough for a sunny day on a CO gun. I'd get this if I needed a cheap "good enough" dot.

I had an early Legion. I used minor PF reloads, around 130PF. I had a case blow out the extractor and a face full of powder. I found the case and the extractor because it was an indoor range. Case was all mangled up, the extractor appeared unharmed. I put it all back together and shot it the next week, and it ran fine for several years. This is before there was any talk of out of battery rounds being fired. I don't remember if it was before or after I had the loaded chamber barrel replaced by SIG.

Thanks for adding, but most of us are looking for +4/5 mag extensions to shoot Limited Optics. So we need mag well/mag extension combos that are compatible with each other. I'm really liking the look of the Boss Components grip/mag well combo, but there is no feedback I can find on what +4/5 extension works with it. The BC extension is not high enough capacity.

CZ parts in the US are spotty. Look at European sources. I got an order from Eric Grauffel Shop in a week. I checked his site, and it's out of stock there.

Is the mag brake flat? Maybe take it out and see if you have a high spot there where it's rubbing on the mag tube. Sand it down, smooth it out. Or replace it.

Or I've seen the RM ask the RO "how'd you score it?" before he's rendered his decision. I always think he doesn't want to piss off his staff and then no one will work it in the future if he doesn't back his RO's call.

Thanks. I decided to stick with my DA/SA Shadow 2's, and just add mag well and large ambi safety levers. SA trigger is sweet.
