  1. EGW doesn't make a lowered in an ambi safety, only a single.
  2. Here is another I used to use, but it is sometimes too low and causes other issues.
  3. Here is the EGW lowered thumb safety. I really like it and have been using it the last 3 years.
  4. I believe the RP9 mags work in the armscor
  5. My favorite holster is the Ernie Hill/Guga Ribas holster. This is probably my 2nd favorite, then the race Master magnetic.
  6. That is the predecessor to Weapon Shield. If you like FP10, you'll love Weapon Shield, it's 1000 times better.
  7. That 40% off is friends and family. Isn't that nice!!
  8. My emergency kit is: Full ignition kit Grip screws Springs: main, firing pin and recoil Plunger complete Batteries Trigger guard bushing and screws Various screws
  9. The Ernie Hill belt is amazing. Very stiff with a metal insert inner belt.
  10. Get the Tombstone array. Clear TR22 - lets in 22% of light TR45 - lets in 45% of light Both of the above lenses were developed by a group of shooters hired by Oakley and the military. A lot of money, technology and time went into developing the shape, fit, feel, weight, cut of lens, everything about those glasses. They are designed to "pull out" the targets from the background. They are amazing. I also tried the Prizm road and it made the red dot pop, but didn't pull the targets from the background. I also want to try Prizm low light for shooting indoors.
  11. Weapon Shield Solvent, works excellent and has a cinnamon smell to it.
  12. I like this. A lil much for some but great to have. Mine is close to this.
  13. Bob is on here, I'm sure he sees them.
  14. EGW still makes both STI and regular
  15. EGW trigger kit and with some messing with the sear spring you'll get 2.5lb pull for sure and can get it under 2.5 if you really tinker with it.
  16. Drop in the EGW trigger kit. Mess with the sear spring and you can get it under 2.5lb pull
  17. If you buy the trigger kit from EGW, drop in with maybe messing with the sear spring slightly and you have a crisp 2.5lb pull. And it gets better with some time of wearing in.
  18. Here you go, 99 bucks and they are awesome. Competitive Edge Dynamics. https://www.cedhk.com/daa-1911-2011-ambi-safeties-with-shield
  19. Electroless Nickel is probably the slickest for a mag
  20. I would clean and lube. Thumb on slide Possibly the disconnect bar getting stuck???
  21. I believe some things just come more naturally than others. Say for myself, I can pick up things easily when I do them as in handling the weapon, stance, sight picture, stuff like that. But I do find it harder for me to learn or memorize the stages. Maybe it's because I don't do it as often as shooting steel. So when I learn a stage, I have to walk it a lot to memorize it while others can show up look at it and walk it for 2 minutes and they have it memorized. Others want to strive for greatness and it will drive you/them to be better, but you have to put in the time. So, for steel shooting at the end of the year I go to the prize table. So the higher you finish the better the prize. That makes me want to shoot better, so I get a better prize. For USPSA, the better you get the higher the "status" you get. And yes stick to a plan and execute, don't change the way you're going to shoot something when you get to the line.
  22. I've been trying this energy drink, By Strike Force Energy, a Veteran owned company. The stuff works really well, but it does not make you shaky or anything like that, Its a nice lift, and it comes in individual packets and different sizes. I get mine through Smith Outfitters, right now they have a 20% off going on with them. For hydration, I also try to drink a gallon of water every day regardless, and for matches I'll mix 50/50 water and G3. Beef Jerky, light sandwich or wheat wrap, just pick on stuff. But check out the strike force energy drink mix, it works well.
  23. What kind of gun is this for? Maybe search for a used rig????
