  1. I started shooting USPSA since this thread started. It's a lot of fun, less gear, less stress, less cost and shorter match days. I can see why people like it. But it's not enough to scratch the itch. 3 gun is hard. It kicks you in the nuts. A lot. 3 guns have to work. Multiple ammos need to be zeroed. It takes all day regardless of how bad the weather always gets. It's a whole different level of struggle than USPSA. If that's not your bag you'll never like 3 gun no matter what accommodations are made for you.
  2. I doubt it. UML has been pushing hard to get all the "if it was two guns I'd be there" crowd to come out, but they're always busy Sunday. All the Sunday's in fact.
  3. Best movie I've seen in a long time. Knew going in that there would be at least a part 2, I would've been bothered to learn that in the theatre.
  4. I wouldn't expect any non nitrided or chrome lined barrel to go beyond 10k.
  5. Yeah I'd say that thing is shooting pretty good @emjbe. A 1.5 moa 10 shot group at 200 is nothing to sneeze at. I've been on the fence about trying the RMR bullets for a while, looks like I need to buy some.
  6. My first 4 USPSA matches. Just small locals but I was looking for something to do for fun to unwind from how seriously I take 3 gun. You can see me working really hard to get A's in the first two vids, then accepting some C's and scoring better in the next two. Two M classifiers so far, maybe I should get a USPSA membership.
  7. You're right, I forgot about the powder funnel because I already had a 6mm one before I needed the Grendel shell plate.
  8. Don't waste your money on any brake with side venting baffles. Reducing rise is more important than recoil, and with what little gas there is to utilize you want it all going up.
  9. I don't see myself buying one, but the fact it exists puts a smile on my face.
  10. The only way the rings will work is if you have long arms and need the longest LOP possible in conjunction with a stance that has you not leaning into the gun at all, and a scope with short eye relief. Then, maybe, rings will work out and get you the right eye relief. Pretty much any mount with some cantilever should work, if you have the opposite stance to the described above you might need significant cantilever. I've got some Aero's, they suck but are okay for a cheap light use mount. ADM is great if you want to spend a few more dollars.
  11. I'm curious to see if yours turns out to be a hammer like mine.
  12. I own two BA's, and they shoot okay. I own the one Rosco and it's amazing. But that sample size is too small for me to definitively say Rosco is better. I could've just gotten really lucky.
  13. Not on your list @apetrulis01 but I own a Rosco 13.7" that much to my annoyance is both one of the cheapest and most accurate barrels I have. Like .6-.7 five shot groups and very consistent hits on a 16" plate at 750 yards with a 6x scope.
  14. You could be right. I don't have IG but now that I think about it, most of the good stuff I've heard about them has been on YT from the reviewers that I don't really trust..
  15. No hands on experience with either of the barrels listed, but all of the BA barrels I've owned have been just okay, and generally overgassed. Weird to hear about Triarc having issues, they seem to have a good reputation. I also have a 14.5" Core, it's pretty great and worth how long I waited.
  16. Well we know what Froelich shot, now I wanna know what he did to get DQ'd?
  17. M2 will always have a longer track record, but the 1301 has a few years of amazing reliability under it's belt at this point. There aren't as many 1301's in the wild but I attribute that to the M2 being the only good choice during the heyday of 3 gun. By the time the 1301 showed up most people willing to spend good money on shotgun already had an M2 and 3 guns popularity was on the decline.
  18. Yeah I've never tried any of the improved Grendel variants. My 6mm and 6.5 both feed great.
  19. They have the same parent and use the same bolt face diameter, but the huge difference in body taper is significant enough to make them two very different cartridges.
  20. Yes. Clay sports clubs are terrifying places to be.
  21. I'm aware of that. Read the thread title though.
