  1. Nice copy of the go gun *thumb rest [generic]*. Is it a one off or are they for sale?
  2. Thanks, southpaws don't have alot of options unfortunately.
  3. The SVI grips are less prone to this issue. They are contoured better than the other steel grips.
  4. I started off with DAA but made my own bases to move the tumb pad back further.
  5. No! I'm a southpaw and you need to drill and tap the frame.
  6. Yes, have to remove alignment dowels.
  7. This is my guess as well. When you take the base pad off how many coils of the spring are sticking out? Call Infinity and talk to Brent. He very knowledgeable and would be glad to help you out.
  8. Go get it dirty! Stop shooting pictures and shoot some targets?!
  9. Get a pair of dial calibers and measure that front to back distance. This mags have to be out of spec. Probably been stepped on and crushe
  10. Where is it sticking or rubbing?
  11. Be safe and send that brass to me.......nevermind it's not supercomp.
  12. Looks like a thumb safety detent spring in the wrong place!
  13. SVI guiderod has not been modified. I have 4 and they are all the same.
  14. Sorry to hear about these issues. I have had 2 Aperios and both ended up back at the factory for different reasons. The 1st was brand new and the island barrel had .015 clearance on one side and .003 on the other. Never even fired the first shot out of it. They replaced the barrel in it. Unfortunately it should have never left the shop. STI's quality control is lacking for sure however they to stand behind their guns with a great warranty. The second one the Schuemann barrel cracked after 75k rounds. It was after they had moved to the Korean made barrels they use now. After 8 months of back and forth trying to get a replacement Schuemann barrel they finally replaced the entire pistol with a brand new Aperio. Again they stood behind their product. I have moved to Infinity since then but I still own a DVC open gun for a backup. It was a replacement warranty gun as well that a friend had. So 3 out of 3 STIs that I have had have been back to the factory. 1 replacement barrel and 2 new pistols for replacement. I have to give it to STI for standing behind their product but I think it would make sense to fix their quality control issues.
  15. On left Dawson tool less: head max width .648" Rod diameter .325" On right Inxfinity S/S: head max width .648" Rod diameter .317" I have always had Infinity giude rods in my STI Aperios when I had them. No issue.
  16. If the fit between the left side and right side of the thumb safety is sloppy/loose it could possible not be disengaging the the safety. I'm a southpaw and have never had this issue.
  17. Get a SVI reverse plug. Huge difference in quality although it will be fine with the stock reverse plug.
  18. I have the aggressive micropockets on all of mine and love them. They will rip up keyboard hands so if you don't have or want calluses on your hands don't get it.
  19. Made new bases for the DAA to get it further back. With a double side mount the DAA is just too far away.
  20. So let me understand this, 1 person has had an issue with the DPP? Everyone take a deep breath, it will be alright! You made the right decision getting the DPP.
  21. Your grip off of your Infinity will be loose on an STI frame. The Infinity frame is about .012" wider than a STI frame.
  22. SVI, does all that blending for you. Not saying it can't happen but it is very difficult to get a mag inserted at the wrong angle and get it stuck.
  23. RTS2 on top DPP on bottom. I think the DPP is brighter. I like the ease of brightness adjustment of the RTS2 I like ease of windage and elevation on the DPP I like the dependability of the DPP I also have a Romeo 3. It isn't nearly as bright and on sunny days the dot washes out. With the DPP that hasn't been an issue.
  24. The SVI insert is smaller so the EVO grip won't fit.
