That is awesome. JP says they have the parts to build our guns but they are just completing their quality assurance testing. So I am just wondering how that is coming along? "While we have the parts in the building to start production, we need more time to complete our quality assurance testing"

Are any of our pro shooters here involved in the reliability testing of the JP5? Can you please tell us how that is going?

I just keep reminding myself how glad I am that they are so diligent at ensuring high reliability before they release a product. It's getting really hard to wait but I think it is going to be a great gun that I will shoot tens of thousands of rounds out of for years to come. March has arrived, and so we wanted to reach back out to all of you eagerly watching for that shipping notification on your JP-5™. In the January update, we used that dangerous phrase “barring anything unforeseen” while honestly expecting to be shipping rifles at this point. That leads directly to another phrase about how “the best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray.” Cutting to the chase, the production schedule for the JP-5™ barrels stretched further than we were promised last month. That has pushed out our internal timetable again. While we have the parts in the building to start production, we need more time to complete our quality assurance testing. This step is just non-negotiable. As much as we want to get these rifles out to you, we need to get the round counts and testing in before we’re confident these rifles will meet our standards. The JP-5™ has been one of the biggest new projects we’ve launched in years. All the testing so far is looking good, and we’re confident in the road ahead, even if it’s a little longer than we’d hoped. We know you’re eager, and we’ve heard from many of you. All we can ask is that you sit tight a little longer. We can all remember some of the crash-and-burn releases over the last decade or two in the firearms industry. We guarantee that the JP-5™ will not be one of them and will be well worth the wait. Thanks again for your patience.

Pacman, in my area the Fiocchi low-recoil slugs have become the standard for 3gun and I am not sure what I would run if I didn't use them. Have you figured out any good alternatives? I wonder what Mr. Kelley is running? I am getting ready to order the Gen12 upper but a little worried about slugs. Thanks

Hey guys thanks for the comments, I really do love the pistol. I do agree that I probably could have made the grip work by lightly sanding off the pricklys. In hindsight, maybe that is what I should have done. I was afraid of messing up something expensive and honestly I underestimated how much it would cost to replace the grip. When SV gave me the quote I already had my mind made up and just did it. Anyway, my loss is your gain and if I can make up a few bucks on the old one it will help. Fowlmouth, thanks for the advice about fitment on a STI--I wondered about that.

Guys this grip was too aggressive for me and I had Infinity put on a less aggressive one. I am thinking about putting this grip up for sale but I have no clue what it is worth. I am not trying to squeeze out every last dollar, I am just wondering what a fair price would be. The 2nd pic is the gun with the new grip. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks
