  1. HS6 gets me around 170-72 PF OAL 1.145 - 1.150 .do your own load development for safety sake .... have you crono'ed your 8.3 gr loads ? My ejection port cracked on both stock slides.. I use a Lone Wolf 416 hardened stainless steel slide, Beveled rails and lowered ejection port.
  2. The 11 port SJC runs flat as I can get it, around 170-72 PF. I like HS6 or WAC with 124'S...... Always be a little bounce and you'll probably need another slide on hand, stock one will crack
  3. I'll start with a 170 and belt carry 3 140's.
  4. The slightly longer barrel on the 34 will help add FPS. once their tuned in, they'll run great.... I built these 4 years ago, shoot'n 170-172 PF.. cheap way ta shoot on the Dark side and I love it ! You need to start reloading and use 124gr
  5. I started shooting open just so I could reload major.
  6. SJC mount with a thumb-rest seem'ed to twist things a bit... didn't like it
  7. I was Intrigue'ed with loading 9mm major
  8. C-more Slide Ride aluminum
  9. No, maybe 3/4 full... I have learn'ed to place the bullet as shell plate is advancing to avoid spilling, back when I used SR 7625 witch was slightly compress'ed. I do prefer WAC 6.6gr . ya know you shouldn't take my word for load data. work up your loads and crono.
  10. I have a pair G 34'S I've been running 4 years now. KKM barrels. 124 gr RN over 7.6 gr HS-6 , OAL 1.145 to 1.150 .... I've used a 4 and 6 port comp , But the SJC 11 port comp is the flattest for me. WAC is the other go to powder. I run Acme Hi Tek coated bullets .
  11. G34's I've been running them for 4 years now, about 75 matches . avg 173 PF , they hold up just fine . you can do all the work on them your self, inexpensive and shooting open is a blast.. John from SJC is a great guy to deal with. I know a couple of guy's that made master with open Glocks . Being old and retired I get great satisfaction that my gun's run great and I'm having fun
  12. I'm retired so I made it my hobby. building and running Glock 34, Major for the fun of it .... 4 years now. very reliable. Meets my needs and budget.
  13. Been running them for 3 years, major , they run great

  15. And can we carry the back up or substitute Gun in the range bag while shooting a match ?
  16. I use 124g lip sticks with 6.6gr of WAC or 6.5 IMR7625 @ 1.150 oal , avg 169 - 171 PF , Glock 34 KKM barrle
  17. I'm still useing IMR 7625, I got LOTS of it when I got wind it was being discontinued.
  18. Can I carry my back up gun in my range bag, or must it stay in my car ?
  19. Congrats... conpetitive shooting change'ed my life.... enjoy it
  20. I run a SJC 11 port on a G34, tryed their 5 port.. with my 124 0ver 6.8 WAC PF @ 173 + - I like the 11 port
  21. My stock slide didn't last 500 rounds, shoot'n 172PF..Now I'[m running a Lone Wolf 416 SS with lowered EJ port
  22. What'em I missing. . . . If your running an Open Gun, why would you shoot minor ?
  23. My home built Glocks run Great... It's a balanceing thing with the firing pin spring, recoil spring and the right bullet recipe
  24. This is my 4th year shooting 3 or 4 matches a month with the Glock 34 Open 9mm Major and a Steel Challenge Gun.. Both totally built by me and I've learned how to make them run.. They're just as reliable as the $4,500 Gun's I shoot against
