  1. Figured it out. Frame was made in the early 90's and that how it was designed.
  2. Anybody ever see the right side of a frame cut like this? Only ask because I've only ever seen them rounded and not straight.
  3. From APP. D7 Special conditions: — Semi-Auto pistols only
  4. She was not stopped, no penalties were incurred, mags were most definitely in front of the hip bone when she grabbed them. The same thing happened to a GM a few months back at the same range. They had finished the match in open. If the RO doesn't call it then it never happened correct?
  5. 8.2.2 is the same rule with the same penalty across both sports. The only difference is that in USPSA there is a much high chance of being started in the incorrect position.
  6. If you have a USPSA shooter dabble in IPSC they are going to hear 8.2.2 ALL DAY. Trust me on that one. I have come to realize working matches across the eastern seaboard that RO's in USPSA have a more relaxed way of looking at start positions. If an RO were to make you stand as shown in App. E3 then they are going to be considered a range nazi. But in all seriousness, according to the rulebook she shouldn't have been started in that position and if she was then that is grounds for a mandatory reshoot. Ninja edit: More importantly watch what happens starting at 2:40. Are those pouches in front of the hip bone?
  7. DQ for not making power? First thing out of my mouth would be "show me in the rule book" I've never heard of anything like that. Care to elaborate about the incident?
  8. Tangfo already comes in super if you want similar-ish firearms.
  9. The response I usually hear in regards to this question is liability. Not sure if it would be a good thing or not but when I shoot IPSC abroad it is much easier to just shoot the match than pasting and resetting.
  10. Steve's book first. He made GM in a year using the drills and methods he wrote the book with.
  11. I used a hogue for a few matches. I was not impressed. I suggest you sell it and get one if the previously mentioned ones. I currently use a race master.
  12. Go to a major match and see how many people clear the trigger guard before they hit that 180 on a turn and draw stage. I promise you that the majority of folks do. Back to the topic, turn into the gun. less movement and you can get on the gun faster.
  13. Depending on the parts the PSA ones take either colt or Glock mags.
  14. PSA just released their hybrid 9mm lowers. You might want to keep an eye on them since the price tag should be nicer.
  15. Trigger time is trigger time. As long as you go in with an open mind you can learn something from anybody.
  16. What if my shotgun does not hold "division capacity" I sometimes bring out the pump gun that holds 4+1. Do I get a procedural for not following the WSB?
  17. U-die for sizing, Dillon for seating, Dillon crimp and a FCD with the crimp turned all the way out so it just catches any gross sizing issues.
  18. 4.5 of N320 1.15" for a 200 grain plated. Anything you decide to do work up and use a chrono. All barrels are different.
  19. Sweet. Don't know what your hand size is but I recommend finding some one who did a reduction of their TS and see how they point for you. Most ofo the guys I know that went ahead and re shaped their grips have loved it.
  20. This question came up at the match yesterday, where we shot 06-03 "Can you count?" as a classifier. String 1: Engage T1 with five rounds only. Perform a mandatory reload and engage T2 with five rounds only. String 2: Engage T3 with five rounds only. Perform a mandatory reload and engage T4 with five rounds only. There was a discussion as to if it is legal to download your mags to only 5 rounds so you don't go over the Virginia count, or must you load to the division capacity? Perfectly legal but why would you want to go to slide lock? Better to run 6 and 4 instead. What happens when you have a jam and you rack out a live round?
  21. Well this was posted in the USPSA/IPSC forum so we should be referring to that. IDPA has their own nuances. But in USPSA multigun the WSB will sometimes say loaded to division capacity for shotguns, which is usually capped at 9.
  22. Get a 650 sooner rather than later. U-die with any other carbide die set works. A chrono is a very good idea at major PF since every gun is different.
  23. I've often downloaded mags so I make sure they will seat easier if I know that I won't need the extra rounds.
