Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thank you. Didn't realize that one would fit. Any idea if someone has a competition cut for the rear? I'm only finding carry on Dawson site
  2. Can anyone tell me why the Dawson competition fixed sights won't work with the sp01 tactical? I have an sp01 done by CGW for USPSA with the comp Dawson Sights. It's a decocker model I thought the only difference would be the threaded barrel, maybe ambi decocker but I'll have to check when I get home. I did a rough measure with calipers with the sights installed on both and they seem to measure the same.
  3. I ended up ordering Ben Stoeger Fundamental Techniques and Competition Skills. I'll probably order a few more like someone above said. Thanks for all of the input thus far.
  4. Looking to get my first book to read since I'm new to competing and want to start a foundation of training and things I should be paying attention to while I start this sport. I want to start good habits, not bad ones I have to learn to break. Where should I start?
  5. I already have a shot timer for timing my drills. I want to get a chrono so I can check the PF of my loads. Thanks for the welcome.
  6. Check out Friction Labs climbing chalk or they have some stuff that's a liquid chalk called "Secret Stuff". Isopropyl alcohol works really well too.
  7. As a rock climber who is trying to get into the shooting sports, I suggest anyone look at climbing as an activity to work out your forearms, tendons and shoulders. Any climbing specific workout will help as well.
  8. Hi, new competitor here. I've shot 4 matches so far and am having a blast. Right now I'm shooting USPSA production with a FS M&P 9mm with APEX DCAEK and Dawson Sights. I just ordered a CZ 75 SP 01 Tactical from CGW and had them go ahead and put their work into it while keeping it Production legal. Decided to switch back to the CZ since I shot a CZ 75 BD as my range gun before I started the competitions. I'm looking to learn more about drills I should start doing to improve. I've been dry fire practicing and doing reloads but want to find more things I can do that relate to the matches. I'm loading for my MP with 1.127 OAL 3.2gr titegroup with 147gr XTreme Bullets on my 550.
